Two mallets are included in your package.
Hi Gary. For a friend, I purchased that mallet. The head is felt rather than rubber, as I recall. It's a good value for money mallet that plays our gong well.
These aren't the best choice if you need "extremely" soft mallets. These are good mallets, and I would classify them as "typical" in terms of softness, but not "very" soft. To get that smooth roll, you'll probably want to use a felt mallet with a soft core.
The mallet end is nearly 4 inches in diameter and measures 18 inches long. It appeals to me.

But there's a catch. Traditional timpani mallets can be used to play suspended cymbals, but the circular ridges on the cymbals eat up the felt head. The mallets are fine until the heads wear out, at which point it's all downhill. Worse, I haven't been able to locate a replacement head source - If the heads wear out, it appears that you must purchase the entire mallet. (I swear those replacement heads were available once upon a time. ) )br>br>These cymbal mallets have a thicker, less fluffy head made of yarn that doesn't fray when the cymbals are played. This is a significant benefit. Each mallet hit is more defined as a result of the trade-off. The fluffy felt heads, on the other hand, aren't so fluffy. As a result, smoothing requires a more nuanced technique. Cymbals swell with sound. This is less of an issue in an ensemble setting. These appear to be well-made and durable. br>br> crafted mallets They're also quite long, so they'll protrude from standard stick holders quite a bit. It isn't a significant issue.
I simply cannot say enough good things about these mallets; they are absolutely stunning and extremely well-made. made. They help me produce a rich and vibrant sound with my hand pan drums, and they're super easy to handle, stylish, and comfortable to play.
When playing cymbals, I'm looking for a sound that sounds more orchestral. You are the intended recipient of these sticks. br>Nicely made and reasonably priced. br>Surprisingly, they sound great on toms as well.
The majority of the mallets were made of a material that was a little too hard to allow for a proper gradual swell. It was no problem for the Zildjian cymbal mallet. I am overjoyed!.
Except for the cymbals, I'm not a big fan of Zildjian, but their mallets are excellent. They look great in black as well. To get those nice swells on your suspended cymbal, this is a good product at a good price. My cymbal of choice is a Meinl 17" classic orchestra cymbal, which has a fantastic response. nice.
For cymbal crescendos, I use these all the time. They're a little more difficult to use than my timpani mallets, but I really like the sound they make. The handles are slick and smooth, but I don't have any trouble holding them. br>br>To all, good music!.
When performing crescendos, they bring out excellent tone from cymbals, and I love the tribal sound they give my drums; I've also used them on vibes, and they create an ethereal, muted sound that hard or even rubber mallets don't produce. The composition is very well balanced.
