Although these sticks are thick, they have a medium/heavy weight to them in my opinion. I like the overall feel, but the large, heavy bead is a drawback; it produces a solid sound on drum heads and hi hats, but way too much buildup on the ride cymbal for my taste; I've used them for country and rock, but would never use them for jazz or any music that is relatively quiet. The large bead receives a fairly articulate sound from the rubber, making it ideal for use on a practice pad.
There are two of them. I've been drumming for more than 50 years and have never seen a single stick being sold. They are always found in groups of two.
It came in a set of two.
There are wood-tipped arrows, to be sure. Regards, br>br>br>br>Regards, br>br>br>Regards, br>b

When I play, I alternate between two different sticks. The Vater Fusion wood tip hickory model and the Vic Firth 2B are the two models that are currently available. To be honest, Vater sticks have been my go-to sticks for a long time, but I was looking for a heavier stick for slower and heavier tunes where a little more wood impact on the drums and cymbals is desired. br>br>The Vic Firth 2Bs are well balanced and perform admirably in music with rudimental passages. "50 Ways" by Paul Simon is played. "These provide excellent rebound for linear patterns and double stroke rolls (yes, I chose open over closed). " While I believe they are more durable than a thinner stick, I believe it is more of a technique issue than the amount of wood you hold in your hand; if you chop at your cymbals at odd angles and play through your drum heads, a larger stick like this can still crack. br>br>Anyway, the point is that these sticks will last a long time and that you should definitely include them in your stick bag. I got them for under $7 on sale here, so keep an eye out for them to go on sale and stock up!.
Excellent value for money in terms of quality. I'm a fairly heavy hitter, so no matter what, I go through sticks quickly. These are just as durable as the rest. When the tip begins to crack, I simply flip them over and continue to bang. br>For my children's Christmas, I purchased an electric kit. I don't think these sticks will ever break with normal use, and if they don't know if they're good or not, tell them they're the best on the market; they'll think Santa put them in their stocking, if you know what I mean. br>I give it a thumbs up. br>I think it's a good choice.
My fellow band members were constantly telling me to play louder when I played in church (Hillsong/Bethel/Elevation style). I'm no longer getting complaints, and they're frequently complimenting me on how good the drums sound now that I've switched to these heavier sticks. Vic Firth's sticks were extremely straight, as is customary for him. [in the image- Not me, but my son:.
My 9-year-old son is about to begin drum lessons, and his teacher recommended this brand. I haven't tried any others, but these are well balanced and extremely difficult; I didn't realize how difficult they were until my son attempted to crack one over his knee and commented on how difficult they were. Thank you for giving them such a strong foundation.
This is a fairly large tip on a relatively heavy stick. In my band, I have to really whack the drums, and these sticks provide me with plenty of volume. They're the heaviest Vic Forth sticks I've ever used, but they have the same balance and feel as the rest of his lineup.
I've put a lot of wear and tear on these sticks, and they're still going strong! You pay a little more for them, but they are extremely accurate in terms of weight and size, as well as being extremely durable!.
They are entirely made of wood. I don't know what else to say except that they're good sticks that arrived quickly. Because I'm old and don't care as much about the tips as I did 30 years ago, I use them with my electronic drum set.
Since 1994, these have been my preferred drumsticks. I experimented with different brands and sizes, but the Vic Firth 2b has always been the best in terms of size, weight, and sound quality.
