Questions & Answers
Yes, that is correct. It was made to fit a 16" tom. With the correct I, I was able to get it to work on an 18". Even when playing punk rock on it, the S mount was secure. This rig is suitable for light to moderate gaming. To keep the drum from moving away from you, use a belt/strap or something to keep your feet in place with anything that has some power. I'm thinking of making spikes out of the tom legs for a rug.
There's a good chance the drum will fit if it has floor tom leg brackets. What's the name of the brand you're using?
Yes, or at the very least, one of the Pearl mount rod-accepting mounts.
It could work, but I believe the bar that holds the drum up is too short; you might have issues with mallet position on the drum head, and if it's a mounted Tom rather than a floor Tom, there wouldn't be any legs to hold it up on one end.

This is stated in the product description, but many of the negative reviews are from people who did not read the product description thoroughly and were upset when they had to purchase an additional part. I purchased this kit and the tom mount for around $55 on Amazon. Both arrived on the same day, and it took me about 5 minutes to turn my 16"x16" floor tom into a solid kick. Most people who do this conversion recommend using an Evans EMAD head for a more authentic kick tone, which I plan to do in the future, but for now, I padded mine with a blanket folded in the bottom of the drum, touching the batter head but not the reso head. With proper tuning, this alone produces a very punchy, deep kick tone. I couldn't be more pleased.
The issue with this design is that the legs aren't long enough to accommodate all floor toms. To get the drum to a working height on mine (a Pearl, no less), I have to place thick textbooks under each foot. br>br>It's just a shame they're only compatible with a small number of drums for the price.
This kit is great for lifting 16" toms and using them as kick drums, but you'll need a bracket to accept the kickdrum riser and two brackets for the spurs if they aren't already on the drum.
As you've probably gathered from the majority of the other reviews, this isn't a one-size-fits-all product. a single conversion kit To make this work, you will need additional components. Because I live near a drum shop that sells used mounts, I was able to solve the problem with them. I don't mind drilling holes in my kit because it's fairly inexpensive. I came across a previously owned.
To make your Tom work with this kit, you'll need to buy some extra expensive parts. The extra parts will set you back more than $100.
Low- It's high-tech, simple to set up, long-lasting, and affordable enough for even music teachers.
On my 18" Pearl masters floor tom, it performs admirably. Easy to assemble, this kit is ideal for making a children's kit.
It performs admirably.
