Questions & Answers
I use it with the Ableton Push 2 and it's fantastic! I'm very happy.
About 42" is the maximum (safe) height. For a stand-up performer, this is a great height. It's a little higher than your waist. Construction of the highest quality. On stage, he looks great.
It has a 42-inch extension. (stable)
The 11-inch height will not be an issue. The "locks" are easy to adjust, and by the way, this is a fantastic stand. Very strong. I've modified mine to function as both a mic stand and a music stand, which is useful to me as a tool maker. Aluminum was used for everything. I keep a Roland BK-100 on my stand.

I'm holding an Ableton Push 2 on stage using the stand at full height. It appears to be adequate, but it wobbles a lot when I play. It's getting to be a real pain. I've experimented with different leg rotations and angles, as well as sandbags. It's all jumbled up. This stand is only suitable for laptops and mixers, in my opinion. There's nothing that gets played with any kind of vigor.
This is what I'm using with Maschine Mk3. Depending on how wide the mounts are set, rubber holders cover a few features on the back of Maschine. Because I don't use the pedal input or right output in my current setup, I configured mine to sacrifice them.
I purchased one of these as well as a Quik-It. Lok LPH- 003 Tripod Laptop Holder with Mouse Tray I bought the Gibraltar to hold my 24 channel mixer and the Quick-Set to hold my mouse. Took a long time to find a place to put my high-end 17-inch laptop. The Gibraltar is a little more expensive, but it's well worth it. It's designed to look like a tank, and it's also a work of art. The chromework and castings are absolutely stunning. The Gibraltar does a good job of holding my mixer, but it does an even better job of holding my laptop. Even with my laptop at its maximum height of 43 inches, I feel very safe. I gave the Quik-Trip back to them. Lok then placed an order for a second Gibraltar. The Quik- The Lok wasn't a bad product, but the Gibraltar is far more secure and, well, attractive. It's an heirloom that I plan to keep for the rest of my musical career.
For the past few years, I've been a based live keyboard player. This was purchased, and it is extremely durable! I don't think there's any wobble, but I do wish it could go a little higher - It is, however, an excellent stand.
The only thing I would change is to lower it. Even children are not all that tall.
I got mine for an Akai FORCE, but I'm sure it'll be useful for other things as well, such as a laptop. If I have another need, I will purchase this model.
It's a nice sturdy stand for my Akai Force, and the adjustable height means I can compose music while sitting or standing.
For supporting my Ableton Push 2 controller in my apartment studio, this stand has proven to be extremely sturdy. It tucks neatly behind my keyboard, allowing me to keep the controller firmly in place above the keys and making it feel like a natural part of my music-making process. The stand has rubberized pegs that can be adjusted to ensure a precise controller fit. The stand folds up nicely for travel (though it is a little heavy, which I suppose is why it feels so stable).
- For the price, I give it a five-star rating. This product, in my opinion, should be priced at around $100.
