Questions & Answers

Can you tell me what the diameter of the peg is?

The thickness of one inch to one and a half inches. My gear is packed up with it, so I can't check it.

I was wondering what the spacing was between the holes. Do you have a sample of the module, so we can see if it fits our specific needs? It would be useful if you could let me know. I'll leave you with this hint. ?

Hey, two holes are four inches apart from hole center to hole center on the long side. Hole positions on the short side are 2 & 3 From center of hole to center of hole, 3/4 inch.

Do you have a solid post or a hollow one? If I drill a hole and tap it, I will be able to mount it on a cymbal stand. How big should it be?

Despite its solid plastic appearance, this post is made of steel. Otherwise, it may snap as a result of the weight and pressure it would receive from mounting. Thank you. I hope this was helpful.

How does the Alesis samplepad 4 work with this?

My opinion is in agreement with the below response, considering that Alesis makes this E-MOTEL This mount can be used for all their percussion products, almost acting as a universal mount. In order to find out for certain, you might want to contact Alesis and inquire if the "Alesis E-4" is available It can be used with your Samplepad 4 as well as the Percussion Module Mount. the number of phone numbers and links you can include, but click on the second link that says "alesis contact support" on Google and it will take you to a website that explains the process. So that we are Apparently, I overlooked the fact that my component was not metal, as it clearly stated that somewhere in the description. In my mounting configuration, I have an offset clamp attached to a stand. I was hesitant to tighten a clamp made of aluminum on What is synthesized? A). mounting stem. After ordering the Gibraltar SC-W, I later upgraded it to the SC-34E This report was published on the 10th of July, 2008. My "mechanical concerns" are better met by this metal, which is better suited to the Alesis device. Please read carefully

Item seems to be very odd
3/5

It is a component of an Alesis product that is mandatory if you have that product (like It is, however, a very odd design, and (to be frank) it is way overpriced compared to what it is. It would be best if you used a multipurpose tool first This device may be attached to a hardware stand (or perhaps to a rack) with a clamp. A major problem lies in the length of the related hardware required for the mounted accessory to be moved into a suitable location. In order to facilitate the placement of accessories, I would rather have a mount with a mounting post that can be moved (or perhaps rotated) into several positions. This item has become one of those oddities percussionists require from time to time. This works, but one wonders who on earth designed it (or whose designs were approved). I think it would be nice to speak with a drummer about.

Asterisk Strike Pro is not to be used with this product
3/5

In order to mount the Alesis Strike Pro module, the provided screws are not long enough. Spending money on waste.

5/5

Even though it is made from plastic, it is pretty durable for a piece of plastic. This is not something I am afraid of failing at. The bracket can be mounted using screws.

Cast iron is not the same as steel
3/5

The plastic material. Cast iron looks like it is made of metal in the picture, but it is actually made of If the metal adapters on amazon are important to you, you may want to look at them if they’re similar in price. You can find them on Amazon for around the same price. The metal option may be a better alternative if you're going to use a clamp to hold this and don't want the pad to break while the clamp is being torqued down or shred plastic if someone tries to forcefully turn it while it's in the clamp. Universal clamps that have a plastic post may have trouble with the plastic post over time.

You pay $300 for an
3/5

That's why I don't like it. Why do I hate this, is they charge $300 for an Alesis Sample Pad Pro - and you cannot get a plastic mounting plate included? Seriously, this is some serious nickeling and dimes Even worse, the Gibraltar mounting bracket that would normally clamp to this item has to clamp to a very large rack mount style pipe rather than a drum stand (which is what most drummers would want it to clamp To connect to the Gibraltor clamp, I'm going to use a piece of pipe from my kids' trampoline, then either place You can either purchase the Fi version) or two more Gibraltor clamps to run a single straight Neither option is going to be perfect, but I cannot find another snare stand with legs, and I prefer to put the pad in front of myself rather than on the side so it is more difficult to hit all the pads at the same time.
