The MB3- H mallets are suitable for 26"-28" projects. You can definitely use them for 5th bass because they are 28" bass drums.

Since 1999, I've been involved with marching percussion. Over the years, I've experimented with a variety of mallets. These are, without a doubt, the best mallets available. I've been teaching percussion since 2003, and I'll only allow my students to use these mallets. The length is excellent, and the weight is ideal. br>As with all mallets, it's best to keep them dry and protected from the elements. The felt heads will expand and warp as a result of moisture. br>I used these mallets on bass drums ranging in size from 28" to 32".
This should be used for professional drumming. I'm a member of the line. It's a solid stick with a nice feel and size to it.
