Mutes fit any trumpet bell that fits the standard size Almost any Eb bell with a slightly smaller diameter will do the trick. If you have any issues, it will probably be on really large bells that have a very fast

The instrument I play is a Yamaha YCR-70 The year 2330. I like how it has such a big bell -- No problem. Pretty much what you would expect. As well as on trumpets, the Bremner works very well on my cornet. Let me know if that was helpful! Keeping up your practice is a great idea!
The best part is when I'm screaming up a storm. In any case, the practice mutes I've had in the past are far better than the ones from today. As you get low, they struggle similarly to what other mutes But it's really a good practice to be mute nonetheless. It is much less stressful for the back

There is no doubt that the Bremner SshhMute is the best trumpet practice mutes I've seen. Is there a reason why 5 stars are not given? That does not mean I am denying the importance of the problem While this mute is great and easier to play than other practice mutes, there are some concerns about its durability, mild vibration at certain frequencies, and its slightly louder sound than other mutes. I was initially surprised by how fragile the device feels when first taken out of the package because of how light it is. The mute looks sturdy upon first inspection, however, that impression marries with its practicality. It is made of lightweight plastic save for the cork ring, which gives it a bit of a delicate feel. It might be good to use lightweight plastic to avoid the front-end load There is a possibility that a more solid piece might add to the instrument's heavy feel, but that could also cause concern about the mute's ability to hold up to daily have yet to have a spontaneous drop test that would prove the quality of the mute. Despite this, the SshhMute is so well performed by comparison to other mutes that concerns about durability quickly fade. From an ease of play standpoint, the SshhMute is probably the best I've seen so far. Despite this, it still manages to keep your playing relatively quiet while producing very little additional back pressure and resistance to airflow. Tuning and intonation remain constant throughout the whole range, at least from low F# to The use of this muted instrument is essential for good practice, especially compared to using other mutes which adversely affect tuning. Some frequencies are present in the vibrations of the mute. It isn't annoying, but it is noticeable, even though it is less pronounced and occurs less frequently than Unlike daily life, playing does not take up the same amount of time as other activities Despite the fact that it isn't as easy as it sounds, it is the best I've seen so far. Possibly the most important thing to look for in a practice mute is whether or not it keeps you playing quietly enough not to disturb family, neighbors, roommates, and other spectators. Based on the sounds pressure levels from group 14 from Earl D, I used NIOSH's sound pressure level app. The 27 Exercise Groups of Irons for Trumpet, and their results are The quiet living room in my apartment registered 51 at night. A one-dB reduction. It's a shame I can't There was an average sound level of 101 for a muted trumpet. By 4 dB. By adding the SshhMute, I was able to lower the volume to 75 dB. The average noise level is 4dB. Comparatively, I measured conversation between two talkers in the same room while the TV was on, and that rate was A 9dB level. While playing under the mute, the sound is not low enough to be comparable to whispering, but is quite soft like normal While playing with a mute, there is clear evidence that it is much quieter, and it does not seem to disturb others reading or watching TV in the same room, or even sleeping in another. Though actual tests suggest otherwise, playing with SshhMute made conversations feel quieter than usual. Also for comparison, here are other mutes I tested against the SshhMute I bought two Protec Compact Practice Mute and a Humes & Associates Microphone This is a straight mute from Berg. 72 was the playing speed of the Protec mute. The SshhMute is 5dB quieter, but that is still significant to the ear, even if it is not substantially better than the SshhMute. Despite this, the SshhMute plays with better intonation, less back pressure, and a lower vibration level than the Protec Mute. Played on 98 was a straight mute. Playing at 5dB is just a little bit quieter than usual. However, despite being a little less quiet than many other sound-cancelling options, the SshhMute excels due to its ease of use, and will keep your practice from disturbing others (your experience may differ). As for a practice mute, I recommend the SshhMute without a doubt.
Practice muting in a room with a mute button It turned out to be a good choice for me. My schedule has changed since we have a baby in the house and I cannot practice during naps or at night. I brought this bad boy in at night and walked around playing away for hours without a care in the world. Generally it's a fairly free blowing instrument, with minimal back pressure (I only have experience with straight mutes, so this was easier). I don't have a very wide range (from low F up to G above the staff), but all notes play well and clearly. Luckily I'll get more practice in than usual and I won't have to hurry up before naptime or bedtime. The only downside so far is that when people came into the room and started talking, I couldn't hear myself playing!.
After using it for a month or so and being pleased with it, the mutes have now begun to fall out of the trumpet every time I use them. There was always a tendency for it to do that, but it would stay in with a bit of pressure and a twist. Now it won't stay in for more than a few seconds no matter what I do, so I can't use it. It's just a shame the return period has be grateful for any advise anyone has on how to overcome this problem, in which case I will make an amendment.
Does what it says it will. Ensures what was promised is kept. The apartment complex where I live has a pool, a fitness center, and a playground Due to an injury, he had been unable to practice for over a year. In addition to jazz improvisation, I also practiced theatre. After 8 p. m. , Arban will once again be available. My bell started ringing around 30pm, while this mute was in my bell think that any complaint in my apartment unit would have been over the volume of the backing track, which was significantly louder than my My bell, in other words. Among my trumpets is a flip oaks wild thing trumpet that has a non-standard bell size or bell As soon as I unpacked this mute, I immediately noticed that it fit perfectly with my bell. * Br> A sock up your bell would negatively affect the way you play. You can feel that you are playing with a mute in, but you don't feel trapped like a sock up your bell would. I don't think it's perfect, but it's close. My biggest concern with mutes, but I believe this is true for all mutes, is that I cannot adjust the tone. All of that said, I give this product 5 stars.
A teacher told my son about practice mutes just before he started playing trumpet. It is a blessing to be here! As the father of three children with instruments, I have dealt with a lot of squeaks and wrong notes, but I appreciate that this product makes them less likely to occur. when I saw that my son is old enough to practice after 8 pm I was thrilled. I never allowed my kids to practice after 8 pm for the sake of the neighbors, and now he does not procrastinate otherwise he would be too late to practice. Now, that's never going to work. It doesn't significantly change the fact that he's playing without a mute either, so that's why he enjoys it so much. The flow of air is still good for him.
Although I found a studio with practice rooms nearby, the price started to increase. My search for the perfect mute led me to this one, and I read the reviews and It was the best thing I've ever done! With the help of my apartment, I am now able to play several times a week and get in all the necessary drills, long-term training, etc To save etudes and solo/song playing for my time in the practice studio, I spend most of my time on notes, slurs, etc. very happy with both the ease and comfort as well as the quality of sound that the Bremner SshhhMute provides. My only regret is that I didn't hunt down.
The sound is muted when this is enabled. With the same intonation, I think. Although it is not silent, it can be easily covered by closing a door, turning the tv on low, etc. The perfect gift for those with a condo, an apartment, or a townhouse. I heard this from my neighbors.
My first practice mute was given to me by a trumpet teacher who is a beginning trumpet player. My neighbors (next to me in the living room) will not be able to hear me play at night because it mutes the sound. The mute, on the other hand, I feel adds some noticeable pressure to the instrument, but, as I mentioned, I'm a novice trumpet player and can't really compare, as I have never played a muted trumpet. I would only use it when it is absolutely necessary. Whether or not to use it is a major change over the past few decades.
