Questions & Answers

This is a good tool for recording directly into Abletion Live 9. Can you use it?

The microphone should be able to be plugged into the audio interface to allow you to According to your description, the mic has a 1/8" jack, so you would have to get an adaptor, but it should work quite well.

Does this item come from a specific place?

There's a Chinese component in it. Our family (both my husband and me! I) are very happy with how it came out.

My alto saxophone plays this, will this work for me?

Sadly, the answer is no, I apologize for the disappointment. It is not just from the bell of your saxophone that you hear sounds from, but the holes throughout the whole instrument. Our company used to import and sell Italian gig bags with pockets for your hands in them so you could play your instrument. You would put your instrument into the bag and you would wear your bag with your hands inside. The silent gig bag for a saxophone is still available. Just search silent gig bag for We wish you a Merry Christmas and a safe New Year. I was Bob for a short time. The Silver Trumpet

The contents of the box include what?

Within the package you will find a mute, ear buds, and a unit that acts as an interface and amplifier. It doesn't seem to come with a battery, but I always keep a supply of AA and AAA batteries on hand. I love the mute feature, which allows me to play without disturbing others. It really sounds good in the headset, too. cannot use ear buds because I use hearing aids, but I can connect an electronic system instead using my Sony 7506 headset. I hope you can get a chance to try out one of these setups or at least at least have the chance to see one.

Honestly, this is the best product I've ever used in my 30 years playing
5/5

I have played by ear for over 30 years, and this is the best practice mute I have ever used. There are no other mutes like this one that block so well. The sound makes up 95% of it. The volume can be turned way up and it wouldn't even be louder than Compared to a regular rectangular metal straight mute, the mute is even less resistant to air flow. If I need to warm up, I can do so in the green room without bothering In addition, I enjoy the two levels of echo, it just gives me the impression I'm playing in a It is also incredible that I can play along with a song or click track and it is like having I whole band with me. Don't let the lack of audio turn you off!.

That's a scary good one
5/5

The first thing I want to say as a mute is this br>br>br>The backside of the receipt My practice mute for LotFancy is similar to the pressure of my actual Despite the fact that I may avoid it after midnight, I can practice in an apartment. It affects the feel and pitch of music the same way as all mutes do. I found that this manifested itself in an incoherent slotting pattern in the top half of my My concentration had to be better to drop into the correct slot. The moisture is absorbed by the skin In addition to this, all semis have an issue with rising Shut down the mutes, and it will take longer for you to dry your instrument. The second issue is with the headphone amplifier.

This is scary. I have heard the same thing from every person I have talked to. The pair puts on the headphones, blows a few As soon as they hear this, they start fumbling for the mute because, they are CERTAIN, it just fell out. It is still necessary for me to take off the headphones every now and then to confirm I am not blaring I like the sound of it. It doesn't sound perfect, but it's fun to play. Because it preserves enough of the correct sound, you won't just be able to practice for pitches, but also work on your tone and actually good enough that, if you really had to, you could record off of it (it's more like a cornet than a full trumpet, though. You are desperate when you are weak. )When is Yamaha going to apply some of this same sonic reconstruction wizardry to.

The best mutes you can get as long as they work
3/5

Initially, I was delighted with Yamaha's Silent Trumpet mute system. However, approximately six weeks after receiving the product, it no longer worked (no explanation for this issue). In an attempt to get support from Amazon, I was informed that I should contact the manufacturer for warranty information. In dealing with Yamaha's customer service regarding my issue with this product, I found it extremely difficult to navigate the system and communicate with them. Eventually, I sent them an email and received a response after about two on some questions and have so far not heard back from the team or received any help yet (it has been over 3 weeks). I think it's a great product as long as it works. The problem is in the lack of customer support (by either Amazon or Yamaha). This product does not appear to be backed by either company.

I played the trumpet without using the system, and it sounded like I was playing without using it
5/5

The Yamaha SB7X2 is an incredible practice mute. I'm very impressed with it. Because I live in a townhouse, I am free to practice anytime, regardless of the time of day or night. haven't gotten around to using the bud earphones that come with it, but I use my Grado headphones, and the trumpet sounds as if I weren't using this system at all. What an amazing thing to experience. That system is far superior to the first Yamaha came out with, and I own it as well. My review of it isn't great, but I found this one so useful that I could not stand it. Despite its high cost, it is well worth the money. Use it and you'll earn lots of love from your family and neighbors.

The recording of this album does not sound good enough to include as a substitute for properly mic'd recordings
4/5

As Yamaha claims, it achieves what it may have been able to achieve There's practically no music being played near where the trumpet player is practicing, but the player (via the included (also kind of cheap/crappy) headphones) can hear full music Tone that is pleasing to the ear. Built-in reverbs (hall and room types) are decent but not quite good enough to replace a properly mic'd instrument. The system would also make a decent interface for home recording, but it doesn't sound quite as good as a properly mic'd instrument does. In general, the product is acceptable, but its price seems a bit cheap- it's not as good as other similar products on the market- A price tag of that kind makes a lot of sense In addition to the switches, the cables that connect everything together are thin and prone to tangling. The earbuds seem to be the cheaply made sort you may find in a dollar store, and even the printing of the letters used to label each function button is cheaply done. Does Yamaha gear often behave this way? Due to my ownership of Roland gear over the years, I've become used to more rugged/professionally executed As is the case with most Yamaha products, it does exactly what Yamaha says it will do, and it does it On the market, there are no comparable products. YAMAHA has filled an important gap in the market and I'm glad it decided to do so. The best person for this job cannot be found elsewhere. Any musician wishing to improve their skills would benefit from such a purchase. It seems to me that the physical quality of the entire system needs to be significantly better at this.

I was surprised by how amazing this product is and what it can do
4/5

I was surprised by how amazing this product is and what it can do. I will begin with the positives. Despite the size, it is still very nice. In terms of scale, the module is about the size of a credit card, but almost as thick as an old Nokia mobile phone. There is no problem with the mute connecting to my Bach student trumpet. This module has a clip that you can clip on to your pants so you will not feel restricted while moving around. It is crisp and clear to hear the sound through the headphones. The way you sound really stands out to you. The sound of trumpet isn't loud enough to disturb neighbors when listened to outside of headphones. It's been more than four years since I had a complaint about my apartment complex. It will be hard to live next to you because people will complain of your farts. There might be someone in the next room listening to you in silence, but if they are watching TV or something like that, they would not be bothered. The positive part is that I can practice at any time with this. The negative part is the headphones supplied are cheap dollar store quality. The battery back doesn't come with rechargeable batteries, but you can place rechargeable AA batteries in it. However, it is a great mute other than that.
