Questions & Answers

Why are the st9, sb79c, sb7xc, and sb7x2 distinguished from each other?

It is the silent brass system with the larger bulbous mute from the 1930s. Silent Brass also offers the SB7x2 and SB7xc (but with different retailer codes), which are both the new smaller Silent Brass system. As part of the SB7x2 system, there is a practice module known as the ST9. If you wish to get the newer model, you should purchase the SB7x2 (or SB7Xc, as it may This is a far better system than SB79C.

Is it still similar to the old one in that it has concert hall reverb and church reverb?

I don't believe it does. It was possible to do that in the old system. Concert hall (meh) and practice room (no reverb) are part of the new system.

It is possible to record as you play?

The headset jack can be used for recording, but I have never used it. Is there no possibility of using that jack for recording purposes?

Is there any chance of this working ?

Trumpet is the instrument I like the most, the SB7X. If it's a cornet, I would expect it would work without a problem Flugelhorn is not compatible with that instrument. The Silent Brass Flugelhorn System is the

It's the next best thing to none at all
5/5

As a result of the upgraded Silent Brass system, I am completely delighted with the results. Before I purchased this system, I read reviews and was hesitant due to the lack of consensus about whether or not it was a good product. I wish to put an end to this argument HERE and It is a superior product in every sense of the word. I had the other two generations made by Yamaha and found that they were convenient, but had several serious flaws that prevented them from being used regularly. system was very frustrating in that the mute would slowly work its way out of the ringer. (3) In addition, the other systems are backlog-prone There was also excessive pressure, which made the game seem unnatural. (2) The sound quality was only adequate, and it was It is impossible to describe how different this new SB7Xc is from the SB7. The sound and playing experience are both My first play was so bad that I thought I didn't have mute in the bell. That is how real it is. While I am not disputing the testimony of some reviewers that certain notes are flat, I personally believe that making the appropriate adjustments on the tuning slides fixes the issue. To experience the best audio experience, it is better not to insert a mute at all and to play music We all know this isn't a practical choice if you live with others or in a confined area, like a hotel room In my opinion, it is a great unit to use for all types of practice.

This device is really cool
5/5

It encourages me to play the trumpet more often. I have been practicing my trumpet 1000% more since I discovered this device. Now I can practice my scales and long tones without bothering my neighbors or the recently departed. You have a strange experience when listening in headphones you feel as if you are playing without any interruptions. It is an absolute must for every trumpet player, whether they are in high school or retired. In the event that you put your horn down for more than 24 hours, it will take several practice sessions before your chops are Therefore, you'll never have to worry about having to practice at a time when it's too late or at a time when someone will hear you that you don't want to hear. You don't have to give me an excuse, play the The pros are Having the ability to play at 4am now reduces the chances of disturbing anybody. Effects such as acid jazz and future funk can be achieved with this. It will be more fun to play your trumpet! • Weaknesses This box is little and black, with no control over reverb and no batteries.

It was disappointing
4/5

It must be difficult to be critical of an instrument accessory of this price. The pros include This is one of the quietest and most convenient places I've ever stayed. Now that I have an apartment, I am able to practice and improve in the comfort of my own home. The cons are For the delicate mute and all the rest of the mess that goes into making this thing work, there is no container. The user experience of this product does not appear to have been thought through enough to justify the price tag. In my opinion, if this mute had been equipped with everything and had been rechargeable and Bluetooth, I would have been happier. This would make far more sense than the current price. However, it is Yamaha, so this is a thing they can get away with. These are the only businesses that are brave enough to enter this market.

It is what it says in the advertisement
5/5

My impression is very positive. The presentation was impressive to say the least. The packaging had me sceptical when I opened it. Since I was unsure about whether I would like it or not, I saved it. As I blew on my trumpet after plugging it in, I was surprised to hear how many sounds were kept A Harmon mute that is a little more quiet would be the closest comparison. Ninety-five percent of the noise is blocked by this device. Playing while watching TV on normal volume and I'm in a different room than my wife. She doesn't know anything is going on. Those who live in a close proximity to others and don't want to disturb them will find this useful. You can hear excellent sound as long as you don't use the headphones that come with the device. The reverb is top of the line. Until then, I'll use my Apple earbuds, but I would be interested to find out whether sound cancelling headphones would be as good. This was absolutely worth every penny, and I am very glad that I have a means to get back into playing my trumpet, which I have enjoyed playing for a long time.

The sound quality is not the best
4/5

In the end, I was unable to wear the ear plugs. The size is too large. It is a good quality set of nose canceling headphones that I am using. Compared to an unplugged trumpet, the sound is quite different. sounds just like a trumpet that has been plugged up. There is no way around it, not even the reverberation. It is nevertheless very good when it comes to noise cancellation. There is a bit of resistance that can be heard at the beginning and end I find the sound a little stuffy. In addition to this, the noise cancellation prevents you from disturbing others as you play. It would have been nice if the sound quality had been better, You are free to play whenever you want. As opposed to the $10 noise cancelling mute I was using, this one is much better. Although the music is way out of tune, you can still hear some of it. It is at least convenient to be able to play any time you like. It is possible that the cons will turn into pros once you learn how to use the mute perfectly. It will remain in my possession. It is recommended that the buyer purchase the "Silent" (not really) mute so long as the buyer knows that he will not end up sounding like Doc Severincen using the mute.

The system for silencing trumpet sounds is very useful
5/5

As well as other items, I own a Yamaha Dar trumpet and a Yamaha Silent piano that I use in Paris where we live half the time It was once upon a time (or did, before The COVID. Yamaha quality is well known to me), so I know exactly what to expect. In a similar manner to a Shastock Whisper Mute, this device deadens the trumpet sound as it passes through. It causes a comparable amount or perhaps a slightly less amount of resistance than Whisper Mute, but it has a much better sound. It is most enjoyable to play with the reverb effect (which I don't use on the piano), since it uses a large hall-like ambiance when it simulates playing. Additionally, I am amazed at the benefit of the feedback provided. It provides me with confidence and allows me to relax, for me at least a welcome and unexpected benefit. I was surprised at how affordable it was. I recommend it!.
