The diameter of the outside is 5 inches.
There is no way that the tenor or bass trombone will fit it. There are 4 7/8" holes in this trumpet mute, which is mostly designed for trumpets. If you measure the diameter of your trombone bell, you'll be able to get a better sense. Similar to trumpet bells, soprano trombone bells are smaller. Thanks for taking the time to read this.
The answer is yes
A large oval "Mutec" stamp can be found on the side of my mute, along with the words "Chicago Style Trumpet Plunger." I hope this information is useful.

As there are no Chicago Style Mutes Trumpet Plunger stamps on this product, it looks generic like any other plunger bottom rubber part one would find in any kind of device. The dollar store is also known as the dollar In reviews on Amazon, there is a situation where a generic product is purchased instead of the product that is pictured there, but I checked the customer questions section, and there is, in fact, a valid explanation from the product maker The integrated stamp was removed when we updated our tooling for easier handling of higher volumes. This would make it easier in the future for the stamp to be back on there. ". In any event, at current prices of $22, this device is quite affordable. Considering the price of the plungers at 99, it does seem a bit strange to receive something that looks exactly like It's not that I'm opposed to aesthetics, but as a consumer, I feel a high level of importance is attached to receiving items that are exactly as they were advertised. For this reason, I strongly encourage the manufacturer to reinstate stamping on.
It was a gift for my grandson, who plays trumpet, and he is very pleased As per the reviews, I bought this because it seemed to be similar to the traditional "plumber's helper" mute, but it was made with.
My teen daughter played trumpet at school, and it didn't gross her out like it would have been if there was a plunger end. Thanks for the great work! There's a real plunger in their teacher's hands. . . (their teacher uses this. . . ).
After I used it for the first time, I realized it was meant for a trumpet mute and searched for a trombone mute.
Hardware store "red" ones, Hymes and Berg brand, Jo-ral aluminum version, etc. This one sounds as good as the hardware store ones but fits better in your hand and is the perfect size for a trumpet bell, and it won't crack or melt after five.
The sound effects are great, it's easy to use, and it's fun to play around.
I thought it would be a great experience for my child. This is a great mute with a plunger. I found this at a local music store for less than what I could find at a hardware store for a sink plunger.
A nice handle allows you to grasp, hold, and manipulate the item very easily. am glad to have this soft rubber playing around, and I am pleased with the low impact it will have on the finish on my horn. I like it very much.
