As if a third of the song "sky fall" were being played on trumpet, the mute might sound like that. A great deal of the audio is true because Mutec's materials and constructions are of such high quality. Many professional musicians rely on Mutec mutes for their quality and true sound. Their mutes are not the most expensive brand, but Mutec mutes are one of the top brands used by professional musicians. In cases where the sheet music does not specify which style of mute to use, the straight mute is what they mean. Across all genres, straight mutes are used more often than any other style of muted output. There is a lot of lacquering on this. The weight of the device is very light. A very good adhesive has been used to adhere the corks. In fact, they do not even have to steam up the inside of the bell in order to hold the mute securely. My impression of that was very positive. Sand down the corks carefully if you would like to change the buzzing sound. If you want to do this correctly, look up videos on YouTube first so that the corks don't get damaged. You can leave the corks alone if you prefer the buzzing sound. Sand them down but don't overdo it.
The bell fits perfectly with my Titanium one.
In comparison to my Brass bottom version, it has an excellent warm tone and is a nice fit for Jazz Band music.
