As a trumpet player, cornetist, and fluglehorn player, I have been playing since I was a teen. There are a lot of styles of straight mutes, and yes, they all have the same name, but they do have differences in sound. The Humes and Bergs produce music of great quality from the bands of the early 20th century to the jazz music of the present. What kind of mute would you like to use? As I see it, it goes like this. In a mute bag, you should have a variety of mutes if you play the trumpet in combos or bands. You need this mute if you play any of the old standards, jazz, or if you simply like the sound. The cactus straight mute is an 'Old Fashioned' straight mute that was popular in the 20's and There is just no comparison when it comes to the price.

The greatest mute ever! Despite the fact that you still hear the tone, you do so without blaring it

My room has resonance issues, making practicing difficult I used to play trumpet in band. I picked it back up recently, but it's hard to practice due to the reverberations As a result, I can play without having things resonate because I can muffle the volume with this mute. The mute itself is very nice and we were extremely happy with our mute, although both the muting properties and tone could have been better. All players should check it out.

The gift is for our grandson who is in the marching band and orchestra at his high school. His idea was right on, and it was a fraction of the cost of what the manufacturer would charge. exactly the same model and brand as the one I have on my website. A generic word is not appropriate!.
