Questions & Answers

Can my daughter learn to play band on a mute that is brand new to her? She is in the 4th grade and a new band participant. As a nocturnal creature, I prefer the dark. It is imperative that we do ?

In that case, she will be able to learn as normal. This is an excellent way to muffle sound while still hearing it correctly in your I have, however, thought that it is better to hear myself practice without muting it. It is reasonable to assume that she can also do this. I'm really pleased with how well the system works.

In what size is this ring most likely to fit?

I can fit it perfectly in my 2b & 4c Five and a half inches & '8" bells) It does not fit the '9' bells. This is the bell of my bass bone, which is 5"

When I turn the mute on, does it sound heavy? Has it become uncomfortable for you? That was an issue with the older versions, I recall. ?

I have no discomfort whenever I play with the mute in, nor is it heavy at all. This is a very good book to read.

This is a great device
5/5

I bought it for my son so he can play with it. This is a brilliant device.
I bought it for my son so that he could practice trombone at home and not bother My impression of it was that it would not do what it said, but boy, what was I wrong about. When the trombone is muted, the output volume of the acoustic output drops to a level about comparable to a soft harmonica. It has two reverb settings that give a sound similar to a normal room reverb as well as a sound like a small concert hall. As the microphone in the mute is good enough to play back to check on his progress, my son even records trombone straight to his laptop with it. It would be great if they made mute for clarinets, saxophones, etc too, come on Yamaha you know you can! enough it is worth every dollar.

A very good pair of Despite the poor quality of the headphones that came with the package, I was extremely pleased with them
5/5

The ones I had in mind were really good ones that I already owned, and they stood up very well to the comparison. It was pleasantly surprising to see a very robust speaker, and the mute is effective in making the external sound very quiet with minimal interference to the air.

The quality of the products and the cost are good Is a tech This is so great! I can practice in my apartment's thin walls, making it perfect for practicing
5/5

When you use the mute, the sound does not necessarily become "silent, but it keeps it quiet enough that you do not have to worry about disturbing your neighbors or When I play, I really like the audio feature which allows me to listen to the music and play along at the same time. It helps me to practice pieces that have tricky parts. The recording feature is not yet activated, so when it does I will update the review to reflect that as well. Although it is pricey, I am very glad and thrilled that I have this product in my hands!.

This is without a doubt the best version of Silent Brass! Since I used the very first Silent Brass system in our music store nearly twenty years ago, this is my third Silent Brass system, and I have to say I'm in love with it
5/5

Having the reverb settings turned on made it feel like I was playing in a large Church. When I first looked into it, the price was beyond my budget. In the years that followed, when Yamaha introduced a smaller, cheaper system I bought one without hesitation. Despite my disappointment, I couldn't help but smile. One of the settings on the sound unit was reverb It was difficult to keep the mute in the bell due to its front heavy shape. A quick sale resulted in it being sold. The first time I heard about this new model, I immediately went to the forums in which nothing but praise was found, not just as an electronic system, but as a basic practice mute, as well. One arrived in a few days after I ordered it. I think the mute is a great feature on its own. The bell fits inside me, so I don't have to find a place for it to live. For a quiet practice session, the response is similar to the Bremner Sshhmute, which means it feels pretty quick. This sound processor looks great, but is quite cheap in feel. While it does appear quite delicate at first glance, the volume knob, switches, battery compartment, and jacks don't bother me much as long as they last. The wires and headphones were also poor, so I replaced them as well. My new headphones (ear buds in my case) made a positive impact on my listening experience. The larger and better the instrument, the better it is for my instrument case, since I want to be able to throw it in. Two reverb settings are perfect one sounds just like playing in a regular room while the other sounds just like a chamber. One resembles a large concert hall, while the other does not. Having said that, if I were allowed to change one thing, I would increase the volume, since it felt very weak to me. It would be great to have an inexpensive inline headphone amplifier (I could always try it out). The only thing that could have been better was the fact that my wife could hear me in the bedroom, but it was only a muffled noise. Now, I just need a pickup mute for my euphonium, which costs more than this entire set-up. You should certainly check out this new trombone practice system if you are a trombone player and want some private practice time!.

By using Silent Brass, I was able to make my trombone sound like an electric guitar
5/5

A friend of mine who plays guitar invited me over to his house for a trombone lesson, so I connected my trombone to an aux cord instead of plugging headphones into it. A lot of his amps and pedals are guitar amps. Due to the quarter inch jack attached, I was able to plug my trombone into his distortion pedals and run the trombone through his amp as if it were Buy this trombone and hook it up to distortion pedals if you want to really jam out.

It's one of those "OMG, how cool!" moments
5/5

You can make your purchases online. It's one of those "OMG, how cool!" moments. You can make your purchases online. The trombone is my instrument of choice when I play in my 1-piece band The neighbors in my one-bedroom apartment did not become startled, nor did my wife in the next room wakened up. As well as being extremely effective in comparison to conventional practice mutes I have tested, this mute is also very quiet. I think it is great- It is light weight and does not put pressure on your back. I really enjoy the sound quality of these headphones because they make it sound like I am in a recording It is still recommended to wear earphones when using the headphone feature. A bit over-extended While playing the trombone, the ear headphones interfere with the positioning of the trombone.

A player lives in an apartment with shared walls and neighbors who complain easily
5/5

This book may be of use to trombone players living in apartment buildings with shared walls and neighbors who complain easily. There is just one thing I wish they would invent - wireless technology so that you do not get wrapped in wires. But quality-wise, it is very good. My breathing wasn't affected too much by the mute (of course, it is a mute, so it does affect my breathing slightly). The product can be used for daily warm up at home and light exercise.

My mine died just under a year after it was born
3/5

It's a pickup mute that I bought just under a year ago, only to discover today that it no longer works. While it worked, the system sounded good, but I would have expected it to last longer, considering the price.
