As it is downstairs, I don't have to worry about waking up upstairs sleepers. My old practice mute, which was stone lined, had so much resistance that I had to drill holes in it. Both of these mutes really beat that. If I am using a tuner I have to pull my slides completely out if I am using it on both of my horns. But I would and would have given it 5 stars otherwise.
When I moved into a dorm for my freshman year at school, I needed a mute that wouldn't ruin my tone while not getting me complaints about noise. The fact that it does its job efficiently, plus the fact that it is so small, makes it even more fantastic! One complaint would be that it's a little harder to hit the upper register with it in, but I can forgive that, since it's to be expected when using This is a great buy at its price point!.
My apartment is finally quiet enough to allow me to practice without disturbing anyone. It plays well and is a perfect fit for the horn.
The perfect translation.
It is a secure fit with a 5 inch bell without any adjustment needed. Lightweight and easily fitted inside of a gig bag, the mute can be kept inside the bell.
The Mute does as it should. I'm very happy with it.
This mutes are quite good for the price! Tuning is a bit wonky, but this is common with It's best to use it occasionally.
sounds horrible when you say it that way.
