Questions & Answers

What's the difference between a silent brass system and this one?

There is no doubt that this is a softer mute than a Silent Brass one, but it's really only suitable for warm-up purposes Even though it is advertised that way, it is way too stuffy and out of tune to be used as a practice mute. is, however, quite compact and does a good job at muting sound it is also not very heavy. My favorite way to warm up in situations where I don't want to disturb others is to listen to my favorite music. As well as a Silent Brass practice mute, I have an Alteza practice mute - it's nice to have both! Using headphones, you will be able to listen to yourself and play along with an MP3 player. Using Silent Brass can be tiresome due to the fact that it is fairly heavy and it is quite a bit heavy. An electronic version of the The Brass / Best Brass system might be a better option, but it is quite expensive. Choose the poison that suits your taste.

Can this mute be used on a Kanstul Flugelhorn 1525?

This should work, since it's a small area I can fittingly use it as the bell of my trombone.

The above method would be effective for a large bore Bach trigger trombone, right?

Large bore trombones are compatible with this instrument. It is fine to cram it into the bell, but not too far. There might be times when a cork gets a little stuck if it swells a bit. If you manage to remove it easy enough, you should be fine. Warm up mute that is awesome!

I'm wondering if the bass bone version will Can you tell me the tenor for 547?

the bell throat sizes of the two horns are very different, which makes the horn incompatible

I've tried numerous mutes and this is the best one I've found
4/5

There is definitely a reduction in volume. Although there is slight back pressure, it causes distortion of the sound and crackling of notes when moving through fast passages, but this is the least amount of back pressure I have experienced so far with a practice muted. However, it increases the level of concentration required to take good notes. I'm learning how to compensate for the impact of my tone after a week. There is no need to put a lot of weight on the mute The way you put that is great!

The bottom line is it does what it should be doing. The only way to reduce volume on a brass instrument without creating back pressure against the embrochure is through back pressure.

ML105 Trombone Straight Mute Review This review is of the ML105 trombone straight mute which is designed to fit trombones of smaller bore diameters such as A Conn 6H was used for the play tests
5/5

This was the perfect time to buy it, because the special was on, so I thought, "Why not?". I must have a Humes and Berg straight mute that is worse. In addition, my section mates will be more compatible with me. It is far better than an equal in terms of Although I paid a low price for the ML105 straight mute, it is superior in fit, sound (yes, apples to oranges) and intonation when compared to the H&M straight mute. The number 151 is in chapter B. Having said that, it does tend to be sharp as most straight mutes tend to be, but a trombone is one of the largest tuning slides, so that's not really an The tone is light, crisp, and snappy even at pushed volumes, and does not distort much, regardless of volume or register. As well as being lightweight, it is easy to transport. A lot of issues start occurring in the mute at low Gb, which is one step below the H&M. My records for jazz tenor straight mute charts are too low to come across a chart that low. It is imperative to focus on this register if you wish to achieve Still, this playback does not warble as much as the H&H I think you should go with B, if you can. (In this early stage it is difficult to tell. ) It is made of light weight aluminum, and can dent easily if you do not take care! Life is as difficult as it seems for Although the Protec ML105 straight mute is in the higher price range for a straight mute for small bore trombones, anyone looking for a metal straight mute should not overlook it because of This player certainly lives up to its name!.

Practice mute that fits in your pocket
5/5

An inexpensive trombone practice mute, which I use on my Conn 88H trombone. With the cork bumper pads, the shoe fits snugly and safely. the horn is a bit sharp, and there is a moderate back pressure, but it gets the job done. A well-made item that is compact enough to fit in my bell case inside my bag.

How about a bell that is both lightweight and has storage? I am interested in purchasing this item immediately
5/5

This product is so good that it's hard for me to find one negative aspect about it. As soon as I opened it, I had to write a review because I love it so much. During the day and at home, as well as when I warm up for services at church and other gigs, I practice mutes. In the past, I used a silent brass mute, which was pretty heavy when playing, as well as a bit difficult to travel with. The Pro Tec mute blows it out of the water, but I'm still going to plug in to hear myself when I need to hear myself. While it is just as quiet as the silent brass, it is SO MUCH lighter in weight. Also, it fits in the bell when my horn is packed away in its case (that's the primary It's common to hear people complain about the back pressure or stuffiness, but it's not a practice issue. It is to be expected that some back pressure will occur. The mute would be useful for anyone on the go looking for a light, portable headphone I look forward to friendly practices and warm welcomes Set mute to on.

For the money, this is a great compact mute
4/5

For the money, this is a very good mute. There is no need for a password. It does exactly what it's supposed to do and will enable you to practice in situations where you may otherwise have to remain While the resistance is different from an open horn, I prefer it to nearly every other practice mute I have tried, partly since it isn't so darn heavy, and you can use it for an extended period of time. One warning though! Do not let the resistance too high. The bell and horn went into my case, and I left the bell in my bell. There is also a ring of dents on the rear of the vehicle. The bell is not the place to keep it.

Housemates will have an easier time practicing with you
5/5

Playing trombone has been part of my life since I started a family. I can practice and play without being disturbed by others, regardless of what time of day it is. I also like how compact it is, and I can store it in my case when I have it out.

I really like this little device
5/5

The size fits right inside my Bach 16 bell. It's easy to play with very little back pressure while still performing its duty as a warm-up or practice tool. Set mute to on. This pedal gives you complete control from F pedal to high D pedal. It is a great product at a great price. I compared it to a cheaper brand but was afraid to take a chance and bought it.

The practice mute you did was great
5/5

It's definitely as quiet as you can get without putting an outrageous amount of back pressure on yourself. At the end of the preceding movement, I blew myself a reminder note last orchestra rehearsal when I was having trouble finding my starting pitch for the middle It's very likely that neither the other trombones or even me were able to hear me due to the mute.
