It was an impulse buy, after listening to various YouTube videos on various mutes and watching some prices. I got it for my 12 year old burgeoning trombonist. It adds another dimension to the expressiveness she brings to her instrument and makes every performance more enjoyable. The gimmick is a bit of a gimmick, but she loves it. The result is that she practices more, which is a good thing When you place your hand over the opening, the instrument makes a metallic sound that varies depending on how you place your hand. I highly recommend it to those who want their music to have more expression. Regarding the quality, there are a few things to keep in mind I can't say enough about it. I may purchase some pieces of cork to modify the insertion shape and make it fit more snugly. Pricing is competitive. Our instrument's fit isn't that great, so I may purchase some pieces of cork to make it fit better.
As a trombone player for a public university's top Wind Ensemble, I have been a member since 2011. Harmon mutes are needed as part of our program for an upcoming tour. Due to the fact that I am planning on playing for a long time to come, I sought out a quality mute that I could trust. There is no better mute for that purpose than this one. You can remove and replace the stem easily, and it's It was a pleasure working with you, and thanks.
Finally, I bought a Harmon mute because I wanted a good excuse to do so. My needs can be met perfectly with this one. This is the software I use for a Yamaha YSL-100.
Mute that looks very good and has an outstanding sound. It would certainly match the sounds of an artist such as the Harlem Nocturne. There is only one negative aspect the warping Cork around the bell does not do a good job of holding the mute in place. It is much more effective to keep the mute in the bell when two strips of cork are used instead of three.
Performs the same function as mute with a higher price tag.
I was surprised by how well this went. The sound is great and the quality is excellent. I am looking forward to using it as part of I have been using my Harmon mutes for several years, and while it does require a little more effort to push air through it than other mutes, it's definitely worth the struggle for the I'm a jazz musician, so this was a definite necessity.
The cost is high, and I'm concerned it might rise at any time.
I expected it to be this way.
