I like how this mute is free, crisp, and snarly, which is just what a straight mute should be, but it's especially good for bass trombone because it projects well and blends in Furthermore, it is more compact and lighter (which is helpful for the heavier double trigger bass bones). The instrument is in tune throughout the entire range. I think you cannot go wrong with this product. Well made and a great price.
Even if it's your first Denis Wick then it shouldn't be your last! These metallic mutes are among if not the best-sounding mutes available. When you put it into your trombone, you will not hear any problems with low notes or pedals, and the metal will make a clean and crisp sound. It would be better to pay a little bit more for these than Every day is a good day to call This will make them last longer as well as sound better. Even so, you can damage it if you drop it or nick it, just like your instrument.
In a study of British-style brass instruments, we settled on DW 5509 bass trombones straight mutes A brassy style brass band that works well.
It is very hard to find a better straight mute for this.
A 9 and a half-inch bell works great with this mute. I love the sound I get out of it and I have not had a problem This mute is also used by many of the other college trombone players I play with. There's only one thing I'm worried about, and that's that it seems like it would It will hopefully be resolved when I get a case to keep my mutes in. I'm currently saving up to get a case. As long as you are cautious, you shouldn't run into any problems.
It fits the Conn 112H perfectly. The piece was performed by my son in a youth orchestra. So far, a lot of Bernstein is played on it. The job is well done!.
I use it for my bass trombone and it works great.
