I have both the 9" and 11" whisks, and after less than 2 months of light use, the wire began to pull out of the metal handles. The wire portion of the handle is impossible to keep in place. Purchase is not recommended.
I just checked mine, and after twisting the top a little, I noticed some water coming out of the handle at the top. In general, I don't have any issues with it and clean it in the dishwasher. I hadn't noticed any water coming out of it until today. It's been almost two years since I bought it.
I adore this whisk and am always on the lookout for it; the wire portion of the whisk measures approx. The bottom is 2 inches wide.
It's relatively safe unless it's been sitting in food for hours. It's important to note that it's quite big.

I'll keep one for myself and give the other to my sister. I was so taken aback by it that I attempted to purchase one for my mother, but was turned down. I enjoy discovering new things that I can share with my family and friends. I purchase them for them and give them to them so that we can work together on fun projects. Some people are currently experiencing financial difficulties and are unable to purchase them. I also enjoy purchasing ethical shampoo and other wonderful products from Amazon and giving them as gifts to my friends and family. Why should I keep it to myself if I adore it? So, right now, my family is trying to come up with fun things to do, and bread making has piqued our interest. We're trying to be proactive with the coronavirus, so I'm having to buy this exact whisk from a different website because I went over the limit of two. I'm sure it'll be a hit with my mother! Our French bread baking marathon will be enjoyable and distract us from our difficult situation. As a result of this, I'm looking into other companies to purchase my products from besides Amazon. I'm not saying I'll stop shopping on Amazon, but Walmart and others have made me wonder if I rely on it too much.
When I first began baking bread, I came across a blog post about a dough whisk. Why not, I reasoned. br>br>This whisk is fantastic for mixing dough, whether it's bread or anything else. It effortlessly combined the ingredients in my bread dough. I've used it to make banana bread and cookie dough, and it's perfect; I'm not sure how it works, but that's irrelevant. It appeals to me. In fact, I bought two of them by mistake, contacted Amazon to return the extra, and then decided against it. Is it true that I'll need two dough whisks to make the dough? Nope. But, in any case, I'll keep both. Excellent work!!.
The handle came out the first time I used it. Furthermore, the loops are too far apart, making simple egg whipping difficult and time-consuming.
For mixing biscuit dough and stretching and folding bread dough, I use the Danish dough whisk. The wire loop can pull flour from the bottom of the dough while passing through the rest of the dough, better incorporating everything without overworking it. I had been using the wood-handled version, but the end kept falling out, so I bought this one so I wouldn't have to replace it every year. You will not be dissatisfied with your purchase.
I'm in awe of this thing. Everything was altered as a result. To be honest, I bought it as a gift because I found it intriguing but didn't believe the hype enough to purchase one for myself. I kept it because the person I bought it for got a new one, and I'm glad I did. I saw some videos on YouTube of people mixing things with a regular whisk, then this thing, and it cut the mixing time in half. That sounded too good to be true, so I assumed it was internet magic. Bread dough, cookie dough, brownies, and cakes are some of the things I make with it. It cuts right through anything and mixes it thoroughly, and the shape makes it much easier to get those stray dry ingredients in the bottom of the bowl. This is a game changer.
This model appealed to me because it has a stainless steel handle that can be washed. It's well-balanced, light, and the whisk's size is ideal for making large batches of bread dough (up to 2 quarts). I like that the top of the handle is sealed with some kind of clear acrylic material that has withstood about 15 dishwasher immersions and still looks good, preventing dough from getting stuck in the creases of the handle. I'd make another purchase.
When I use the Tovolo mixing whisk to make sourdough bread, I don't need a large mixer. Any mixing chores are also a breeze with it. This whisk makes it simple to mix brownies, muffins, cakes, and stiff cookie batters. It can be easily cleaned in the dishwasher. Because it's rounded, it scrapes the sides of the mixing bowl while you're mixing. It's been nearly three years since I got mine, and it's still going strong. I bought a second one as a gift for a Sourdough baker friend.
My older ones (which are now in the trash) had thinner handles and fewer wires - which were thinner as well This is ideal for a mini whisk because it has a good grip and the wires are thicker. I've had no problems washing mine in the dishwasher, but I do turn it down-- Remove any excess water droplets by shaking the container on its side. It's worth noting that the wires coming out of the handle are completely covered in what appears to be acrylic (it hasn't yellowed after several washes, mostly in the dishwasher). Water has no chance of getting into the handle, causing rust and bacteria - thanks to this coating. Another problem I had with my old whisks was that they were too small. br>br>I use this mini whisk for rouxs, muddling a cup or two of hot chocolate, whipping small portion sauces (like crème fraiche and horseradish for individual horsey sauces), soy-based sauces, and so on. dipping sauces and salad dressings in small portions, and doughs made with a single egg white and water. It's the ideal size for a single-serving dipping bowl. br>br>I see this recommended for eggs. . . No, if you're whisking or beating something like that, the larger whisk would be faster and more effective. But, once again, in my kitchen, this tiny whisk is a must-have!.
