We only had it for a few months before it broke. Only a month after we received it, I noticed the handle was beginning to crack, but I decided to keep using it and be cautious with it. Even with careful use, it eventually failed completely. I'm going to call the company to see if they'll honor the warranty, and if they don't, I'll update this review. br>br>*Update* The company did honor the warranty, but getting in touch with the correct customer service contact was a nightmare and not worth the effort. They even requested that I return the broken whisk (at my expense!). ) to the company's storage facility. I told them I'd already thrown it out but that I had a photo of it. That was enough, but I couldn't believe how much trouble they went to to replace this. It's not a pain-in-the-neck-type of situation. Warranty is provided at no cost. However, if you're willing to put in some effort, it's a guarantee.
While eating a waffle, I discovered this after biting into two pieces of broken plastic from the handle. This is extremely dangerous, and I will notify Kitchen Aid of the flaw. This product, which has a serious flaw, should be recalled.

I'm whisking away with my whisk when I notice what appears to be a shard of metal in my bowl. Upon closer inspection, this kitchen aid whisk, which I've used twice, is literally shedding pieces of fragmented plastic into my batch, and I've had to throw out my entire mix as well as this whisk that I recently purchased. This isn't something I'd use to cook with.
I only use this whisk for everyday cooking and baking because it was a great whisk until it fell apart. I have a stand mixer for heavy-duty whipping, so this whisk did not get much use. My whisk began to fall apart in May, and it is now December, and the Chrome finish plastic ring around the base of the metal whisk is slowly breaking. The outermost metal loop had fallen off by December. I attempted to contact Amazon's Customer Service number, but it was inactive. The color and how well it worked appealed to me greatly. It's such a pity that the quality was so poor.
JUNK MADE OF PLASTIC. The whips are held in place by a PLASTIC piece at the top of the handle. It only lasted three uses before it fell apart. I was using it to combine sugar and apple cider vinegar and stir until the sugar was completely dissolved. Unfortunately, I didn't realize it until after I had finished making my coleslaw. When I picked up the whisk to clean it, something caught my eye between the wire pieces. It was only a small piece of plastic that shattered. The rest of the piece was broken, and there were a few small pieces missing, which I discovered. My coleslaw was ruined, and I had to toss it because I couldn't find the pieces. Never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever.
We bought it in the middle of the year. May 2020. The handle CRACKED/BROKE into several pieces while my wife was using it on July 22nd, two months after purchasing it. We'd never put it in the dishwasher before, and my wife was only "whisking" cake batter. Unsure if others have had the same experience, but the quality of this item appears to be "POOR," as she had done several times before. I believe it is too late to return or receive a credit, but I will do so anyway- I've signed up in the hopes of getting a full refund.
Only a few times had it been used when it broke. This is the second time it's happened to me like this. I really like the brand, but I'm not sure I'll buy it again.
I adore this whisk, so much so that I ordered a second one after receiving the first, as well as one for my daughter. However, after about a month of use (and yes, I did put it in my dishwasher's silverware tray), a large piece of the ring surrounding the base of the whisk at the handle broke off while I was using it. These whisks are still one of my favorites, and the second one I ordered has held up well so far. Otherwise, I'd give it five stars.
