The hairs on the brush fall out as it gets older. br>br>After becoming dissatisfied with my old basting brush, I found this brush on Amazon. Because the reviews were so positive, I decided to take a chance and buy it. WOW! br>br>WOW! br>br>WOW! br>br>WOW! br The brush heads are the first thing that you notice. Rubber is what they are. How is that possible? I was skeptical at first, but when I used this baster to brush my favorite BBQ sauce on ribs, it worked perfectly. The silicone heads, as you might expect, will not shed onto your meat product. br>br>The stainless steel handle is very nice, with loops at the end to hang them on a rack. Finally, the manufacturer includes silicone heads that can be replaced. br>br>This product astounds me because I've never seen anything like it. It truly brings those old basting brushes into the modern era, and it certainly eliminates the shedding issue. If you're looking for a good basting brush, this is the one to get.
I usually don't leave reviews until I've tried a product and verified its quality, but I bought it for my wife and she hasn't used it yet, and that's hardly their fault. The product looks and feels great, and my only complaint (which isn't enough to detract from a five-star rating) is that the brush is detachable (which is a good thing) and comes out quite easily (which is a minor complaint). Brushing melted butter, oil, or barbecue sauce onto food does not necessitate a great deal of force. I mean, realistically, it's fine; I just think the fit could be a smidge tighter. But only a smidgeon.
I decided to comply after receiving an email from their marketing department requesting that I leave a review. br>br>I really like these basting brushes. They feel solid and are definitely durable thanks to the brushed (heh) steel finish and construction. In a grilling situation or in the kitchen, this is a great choice. The inclusion of a hanger loop is also a nice touch for hanging it off the side of your grill on a small hook (my grill has this; your mileage may vary), rather than sitting it on a napkin, plate, or your grill itself when not in use. It's a small detail, but it's one that I like. The silicone brush is excellent and performs as expected; however, I prefer silicone to traditional brush material because even high-quality brushes will occasionally shed hairs onto surfaces. The brush heads being detachable, rather than being permanently attached to the handle, makes it easier to clean and replace them as needed. In general, this is an outstanding product.
The item is dishwasher safe, according to the manufacturer. HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA After my first use, I cleaned it in the dishwasher (removing the rubber end) and all I got was RUST, both inside and out! This product piqued my interest, and I was eager to try it. It is an "Amazon Choice" item with a good rating. The item was easy to use, and having a long and short basting brush for the BBQ was convenient. The additional rubber brushes are an excellent addition. I was a little hesitant to use silicone brushes at first because I wasn't sure how they would work. I have never been dissatisfied with their work; they are excellent.
I just finished cooking/smoking my first meal, slathering Bar B Q sauce on my smoked rack of pork ribs with the brush. I used your new brush to apply the sauce in the final hour of cooking. I was pleasantly surprised by how much sauce the silicone head absorbed and how simple it was to use with excellent results. It was easy to clean with hot water, and unlike a normal bristle brush, the silicone material does not harbor or allow microbes to grow within the brush. The sauce was easy to spread on the meat, and it was simple to create a uniform layer of sauce without wasting a lot of sauce on spatters or getting lost in the bristles. Years ago, I should've purchased one. This is an excellent item.
The high quality of these brushes pleasantly surprised me. They're easy to use, and I like how the silicon brush tips pull out to make cleaning easier. When you use them, they fit snugly and do not pull or fall out. The best part is that the brush tips can be thrown in the dishwasher. I really like how they include extra brushes - I would strongly recommend these because they are well-made. Hugs, pushups, and shots are in order!.
