I'm looking for bristles that are very small. The majority of food brushes are designed to be used with barbecue sauce. I'd like to spread butter on a baking sheet so that I can bake pastries. Is it true that the bristles are so small?
This pastry brush was used to spread soft butter on freshly baked bread. For bread, the bristles are ideal. What I like about these versus traditional pastry brushes is that they're more affordable. It's easier to clean and there aren't any hairs on it. From my personal experience, there is no rust or metal on this pastry brush.

To avoid scratching the pan's telfon coating, use this brush to spread the oil on the pan rather than a spoon or stirring. One brush is suitable for use, while the other will be kept (or given away). So far, in terms of use and washing, it appears to be durable. I'm not sure how heat resistant it is because I haven't tried it on a hot pan or a BBQ grill. The handle has a hole in it that can be used as a hanger.

When I use a frying pan, I use a basting silicon brush to evenly distribute the oil. To swirl the oil in the pan, there's no need to lift the pan.
