All of this assumes you understand how to use it properly. br>br>As a huge wine snob, I automatically assume everyone has one, and I want to smack anyone who uses a Houdini to open a bottle of wine with a synthetic cork. It'll pierce the cork all the way through, and because synthetic cork doesn't absorb moisture as well as real cork, it'll leak when you set the bottles on the side. Nice corks will not break if you use this device. It's easy to use, smooth, and comes in a variety of fun colors, and the double hinge keeps them from breaking. It costs a quarter of the price of a pulltap model that accomplishes the same task. br>br>In this video, I demonstrate how simple it is- I always have an extra in my purse, because the little blade on the end is needed most of the time. But, with these being so inexpensive, there's no reason you can't get a few in each person's favorite color. Keep a few on hand in case you need a last-minute gift or an "oh crap" present. I adore love.
I bought one of these from a wine shop and kept it in my purse in case of an emergency. When I went on my last flight, the airport confiscated it from me, so I had to repurchase it, and I was thrilled with the Amazon price! It's ideal for use as a bottle opener on the go.
It's amazing and so easy to open wine with it. I use it all night at work.
The color lasts for a long time.
Excellent quality and a darling pink color! br>Here's to a happy bartender.
The screw is almost too sharp, and the blade isn't sharp enough for the foil, causing corks to crumble frequently.
