I can not be 100% sure, but the markings/stamping were not the one I had since back when I was a waiter or bartender. I'm returning this one because it didn't work properly. The corkscrew was extremely loose and refused to go all the way into the cork. This one is one I would avoid.
A butterfly opener, on the other hand, is a totally different design. It works by screwing the pull into a cork and then lifting the cork out of the bottle with the butterfly handles pressed down. A spiral of metal screw is used in some butterfly openers. Other butterfly openers use a screw that appears to be quite thick. Because it grinds its way into the cork like a large screw would into a piece of wood, this latter screw has the potential to completely destroy it. The spiral screw is much better on the Pulltap corkscrew. It is, however, built in a unique way. It screws into the cork, but there are two lifting points because it is articulated. You screw almost all the way into the cork, then lift the cork a little with the lowest "lip." The lowest lip provides all of the purchase necessary to begin cork removal from a bottle. Once the cork has lifted a little from the bottle, grip the top of the bottle with the second or higher "lip" and lift the rest of the cork out. If you've ever placed an order for a bottle of wine in a restaurant and the waiter used a two-tiered system, you'll know what I'm talking about. He used a Pulltap corkscrew to remove the cork after a three-step process.
The device has no model printed on it, and the invoice has no model number.
I've been a server for a long time, and these are my go-to recipes. Corkscrews are a type of corkscrew that is used to open wine bottles 95% of them are Teflon or teflon-like material. as if it were a product that never wears off

I've always referred to myself as a "winged" person. Rabbit-style or I used to use type corkscrews, but they kept breaking, so I decided to go with a traditional corkscrew. This one by Pulltex is solid and simple to use, and I wish I had done it sooner. It's a fantastic deal, too! I'm not sure why I was so apprehensive about using this type. I believe it's because the previous time I tried this type of corkscrew, it was a cheap plastic one that didn't work very well. It's best to use a Pulltex corkscrew.
I came across this one by chance at the restaurant where I work. It is, in my opinion, the most practical tool available to a server. It has two stops to ensure that the cork is pulled safely and smoothly. When I am in front of guests I have 100% confidence that the cork will come out without spilling anything because its design allows for a smooth pull. The small serrated blade is extremely versatile, as it can be used to cut the cork cover as well as break down boxes. Anyone who works in a restaurant should have this book.
Pulls corks incredibly easily, even synthetic corks, which are notoriously difficult to pull. I'm going to purchase another for a friend. br>br>ADDENDUM: ADDENDUM: ADDENDUM: ADDENDUM: ADDENDUM: ADD This was first reviewed in April of this year, and now it has been 6 months. This cork screw is still one of my favorites. I ended up buying another for a friend because it's so well made. I especially like the hinge that allows it to close snugly. I'd done it before, having broken two corkscrews at a friend's house the same night while attempting to open a bottle of Moscato. Of course, this is for the ladies. OK, YES- I DRANK A BIT OF IT AS WELL! STOP THINKING YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT!.
In 2018, I received this corkscrew as a Christmas gift. It's functional, but the Teflon has worn off after only a few uses. My TrueTap corkscrew, which I bought at my local liquor store, is much better. It's possible that this item isn't authentic. I don't recommend this item because I can get a TrueTap for the same price, and I'm disappointed after reading so many positive reviews about the Pulltap's corkscrew on this and other websites. As a result, I have my doubts about whether or not this is the genuine article.
Avoid clumsy corkscrews that require a clasping lever. type action, needs to be mounted on a table, and most importantly, needs to be stored somewhere. All you need is a good pair of shoes and a good pair of socks. This is a great stage opener, and I highly recommend it. Apparently, Pulltap is the brand to get, but I'm more concerned with function than with brand. With this opener, I've opened at least 2 cases of wine. It's sturdy, effective, and compact. br>br>Buy it if you enjoy wine.
Effortlessly works on all wine corks, including long Port corks, old Bordeaux corks, and everyday bottles. Expensive Rabbits and other contraptions may appear to be faster, but they are only faster when it comes to pulling. When you factor in the time it takes to remove the rabbit, attach it to the bottle, pull the cork, detach from the bottle, and detach the cork, this low-cost device easily outperforms it.
Even with all of my fancy corkscrews, I use a Pulltap's Toledo on a daily basis. This is the one you should keep in your car, purse, or desk drawer at work. To put it another way, this is the cheapie you can have whenever you have a serious vinous emergency. Keep one of these with you wherever you might need to open a bottle instead of scuffing your shoe on the wall.
It performs admirably and has proven to be long-lasting in my experience. It also has an elegant appearance and feel to it. Because of the approximately 1-inch long saw blade attached to it, airport security will stop you if you try to carry it through. The saw blade is also extremely tough and well-attached to the main body, and it will withstand your best efforts to snap it off in the airport restrooms.
