Questions & Answers

The item's dimensions are stated to be 4 x 4 x 1 inch in the text. With a diameter of 5 3/4 inches, how can that be correct?

I purchased the two-pack. lids for the cups, as well as the four-piece set cup lids. The larger lids have a diameter of 5 3/4 inch.

Is it safe to put this dish in the dishwasher?

Yes, it's safe to put on the top rack of the dishwasher.

Is this lid compatible with a 1 quart glass bowl weighing 950 milligrams?

I just looked at the bottom of the container I'm using the lid on, and it says 1 quart 950 milligrams. The lid is a good fit.

I'm not sure what kind of plastic they're made of. ldpe 4 are you a fan of the red anchor lids?

The lids are genuine Pyrex. They're the same as the ones that came with my dishes, but I've worn them out. I believe anchor hocking is similar, but I'm not sure if the sizes are compatible. These are fantastic if you have any pyrex on hand.

The lids lasted for a total of seven hours
3/5

5 months. I assumed these Pyrex lids were of good quality when I bought them. My previous lids for the 4 cup and 2 cup glass containers lasted over three years. 4 years! As can be seen in the image after number 7, They are already tearing after only 5 months and will soon be useless. I always hand wash these lids and never put them in the dishwasher, so their cracking caught me off guard. You are purchasing at your own risk.

Don't forget to cover it with a lid! My factory-supplied OEM lids had started to crack, leaving me stranded
5/5

My Pyrex leftover deliverers had been rendered useless. The following are the contents of my 4-page report. Cup glass storage bowls would leak onto the seats of my vehicle, like an incontinent pet on a long road trip. My food containers would filthify my vehicle like a REM sleep-deprived slumberer drooling on a pillow. Then, in a life-changing revelation, I learned that I could actually replace those worn-out lids with new lids! My commute would no longer be disrupted by leaking teriyaki juices thanks to lids that kept my leftovers completely contained on my trips to the office. I'd never have to worry about green bean juice osmosing into the cloth seats of my 16-year-old truck again. Containment has arrived at my doorstep once more. from- Lunches prepared at home! The equilibrium has been restored! Oh. They're blue as well!.

These are not the same as the ones that came with my Pyrex in 2001
3/5

My old tops were study enough to be set on top to the side and stay there, but these are thinner and softer and are fine for storage but terrible for microwave use. These will invariably be drawn to the center, where they will suction attach and warp. One has deteriorated to the point where it will no longer go on with a storage seal. Very let down. The color is appealing, and they'll suffice if you're only using them for storage.

Cracks and tears appear on the lids - Do not completely seal the package
3/5

My glass pyrex storage bowls are one of my favorites: Acid-resistant and dishwasher-safe The lids, on the other hand, are their weak point; without them, they are useless. I've gone through two replacement lid cycles (1st cycle was bad; 2nd cycle was fine). My second attempt - It's not looking good on me. All of my pyrex plastic lids (with the exception of one - Are you blessed with good genes? ), both the originals and the replacements, cracked or split at the rim over time. The lid's rim is a weak point (the plastic is thinner and less well-made here). This is a total of about ten lids, all of which are now useless if I need a secure seal. A more stable plastic storage container (dishwasher safe, perhaps with side locks) or, if flexible enough, silicon lids are recommended.

These lids are amazing, and the product is excellent
5/5

Both my Pyrex and Anchor Hocking products are compatible with them. They're well-made, do exactly what they're supposed to, and last as long as they SHOULD when subjected to regular use (anywhere from four to eight years). 9 months; NOT indefinitely). All the b-words make me laugh. "mY liDS kEEp bReAKiNg!" he bemoans. A reFuND is what I'm looking for! "First and foremost, I understand that your generation lacks scientific knowledge, but allow me to explain something to you that should be obvious, but isn't based on these reviews. When you put plastic in the dishwasher, it heats up (expands), then contracts as it cools down. When plastic is subjected to this for an extended period of time, it begins to break down, develop weaknesses, and become brittle. They're cracking because of this, as well as the edges curling up from repeated use when opening. But let's ignore the science and focus on sanitation. Replacement of these lids is recommended once or twice a year for food safety reasons. That's something I shouldn't have to say. You can look it up on the internet. Overall, I give this a 5 out of 5 star rating. Remember, boomers, if you have $5 a day to spend on your super luxury overpriced coffee brand, you shouldn't complain about replacing your Pyrex lids for $10 a year;.

For some of us, it fits and is even cost-effective
5/5

The fit is good, and the seams are well sealed. The important thing is to focus on the part number rather than the letter codes at the end, which usually refer to color or other unrelated information. I emailed the Pyrex product manufacturer and was told that a lid would fit as long as the part number was 7201 in this case. The only exception is if it's a unique lid, such as the vented ones I used to have (which don't appear to be available anymore). Some people complain that the price is so high that it's more cost effective to simply buy new bowls with lids. True, but I have plenty of bowls that are as good as new, so why pay a few extra dollars for bowls with lids if you don't need the containers? By the way, I believe that repeatedly washing the lids in the dishwasher causes them to become brittle, which is why I needed new ones.

THEY FIT! It was necessary to replace the covers
5/5

which says something about the durability/sturdiness/etc. of the Pyrex products previously covered. They've obviously been purchased because they're required. I learned a little more about how long they last and how safe they are to use in the microwave, and I think I'll use it to reheat them. However, I've been hesitant (in fact, I've been hesitant). I'm not going to use it) to use it at maximum capacity. SO. I'm not aware of any other product that will work as well, and I'm hoping these will last a long time!.

Replacement lids that are perfect
5/5

I paid $5 for the red lids. To replace torn or cracked lids, pay $99 for a 6-pack. Because I believe the dishwasher's intense heat caused the cracking, I no longer put these in the dishwasher. These lids are a great deal at a dollar each, and they fit just like the originals. So long as I don't put them in the dishwasher, I'm hoping they'll last forever this time.
