A second one broke too on August 10, 2017 at the same place and with the same faults. We need to bevel down the screw head away from the heating area in order to prevent the screw from getting too hot and cracking the insert.
Unhappy. Having bought the Pixar Slow Cooker twice in 8 months, I started to collect them. do not use it on a daily basis, but I do use it frequently. Initially, it appeared that they screwed the screw in too tightly, because a beveled part was inside the heating component near a screw. A month ago, as I was cleaning out the pot insert, I noticed that inside the heating base there was some kind of burned food. My curiosity was peaked and I turned to look at the insert the next day.
