Every meal I prepared had to be redone due to undercooked meat. I've had an Instant Pot since 2015, but it stopped working and I had to replace it with the current one. I bought Instant Pots for my family and friends, but now I'm the only one who doesn't have one. This pot, in addition to apparently not reaching high pressure, gave me a "Burn" warning when I tried a water test; burn for water! br>The only response I've received from customer service is that they'll get back to me as soon as possible. This will not suffice.
For years, I've had a black Instant Pot Duo, which I adore. I could go on and on about all of the things I do with it. I also have a mini that does the same job as the 6qt but is more suitable for smaller tasks. I knew I had to have this new color when I saw it. I'll be giving away my black one because they're identical and I don't need two regular size ones (especially when cooking in a pot in a pot), plus I'd never use it because I'd always want to pull this one out!.
Units that are defective. Because it was only a different color plastic, I assumed it would be the same as my Black Duo Instant Pot, but it took 45 minutes for my white one(s) to boil water on Sauté (and it wasn't even a rolling boil). I usually cook hard-boiled eggs in my new Instant Pots to see how they work. The first white one was unusually quick to come to pressure, but it could only make soft-serve ice cream. eggs that have been cooked Given a half-hour's worth of "boiling" time, mind you. " I spent the time and money to exchange the white Duo Instant Pot through Amazon, and the second white Duo Instant Pot did the same. I returned the second white Duo Instant Pot, frustrated, and received a Duo Evo Plus Instant Pot in its place. I can now bring water to a rolling boil in less than 5 minutes, then pressurize and cook perfect hard-boiled eggs in another 12 minutes. Lesson? Do not purchase the white rip-cord. offs. If you're looking for a great pressure cooker, go with the best that Instant Pot has to offer.
Used for two weeks and the top melted; found out three models were recalled and received monetary compensation; however, life is too short to be concerned; all we ask is that you be careful and keep an eye on it while cooking.
Roasts have always been a struggle for me. ribs - But, thanks to the Internet Protocol, everything has changed. The meat is so easy to chew that it literally falls apart. & br>Highly recommended - takes half the time to prepare. If you despise cooking as much as I do, this is especially true.
This is my second instant pot (the first is still on the stove). The red color is my favorite, and it gives my kitchen a pop of color. I use my instant pot at least four times a week to make everything from boiled eggs to homemade applesauce. We are a family of four, and I am the mother of two teenagers. I make the simplest and quickest meals possible, such as salsa chicken (to shred and use in burritos or tacos), delicious one-pot pasta with meat sauce, vegan split pea soup, delicious tender brisket, and steamed rice. I used to use an old-fashioned pressure cooker that frequently burned and was, to be honest, a little frightening. This isn't your grandmother's pressure cooker, so keep that in mind. It's self-contained, with no ominous spinning or hissing, and you can leave it plugged in while your meal cooks. There are a plethora of recipes and YouTube videos available online. My cooking life has become easier, and I purchased a second to steam vegetables or rice while my main dish cooks or warms up. This instant pot can also be used to make yogurt and a number of other dishes. GET ONE! It'll make you ecstatic.
I bought something and didn't immediately open the box. All smashed up when I got it. I can't use it and I can't give it back. I've learned my lesson and will never buy another appliance. I'm furious.
I've made three batches of yogurt since receiving it last week, and each batch has turned out beautifully. Though I didn't use a thermometer to check the temperature, I know it stayed low (as it should) the entire time; I can't comment on the other functions, but it's a fantastic yogurt maker. It takes 36 hours of fermenting time to get the full benefit of the yogurt, so after setting the custom time for the first batch, it now automatically goes to that time. If you want to use it to make yogurt, make sure you get this model. Check before you buy because some of the lower-cost models don't have the yogurt feature.
