I had the same question; the manual makes no mention of how you're supposed to use the steamer basket to simultaneously cook two meals. A complete failure. That was the primary motivator for me to buy. I believe I will return to Yedi and accompany him.
I should point out that no pressure cooker, including the Instant Pot Ultra, can make "boxed" cake or brownies. You must follow their recipes and use the 7" pressure cooker release pan, which must be placed on a trivet because the bake feature is a pressure steam feature. It's also a good idea to read manuals before purchasing something so you know how a feature works and if it'll work for your needs.

I'm not anymore. This is absolutely incredible. To begin, I must confess that I am terrified of pressure cookers. When I was younger, my father had an old school one, and let's just say it terrified me. My husband had been wanting one for a while to make carnitas in, and I finally got him one for his birthday. I was hesitant to even be in the house when he first used it when he first opened it. I started to feel less anxious after a few meals with it, so I grabbed the manual to give it a try. I followed the instructions with trembling hands, and after a few hot button presses, I was ready to cook. I took a step back and watched as it quickly and quietly cooked chicken and rice; it was done in a flash, and I was relieved I hadn't caused any mishaps. It took less than 5 minutes to clean up the chicken. Overall, I was pleased with the ease with which the instructions could be followed.
The food cooks beautifully, and I especially appreciate not having to use a stove. An E4 error message appears every time we turn it on. The service provider claimed that unplugging the pressure cooker for 30 minutes would reset the system, which it did, but this is a common problem.
The Mueller pressure cooker is the worst I've ever used. br>The lid is difficult to clean. The cooker is quite heavy and difficult to move around. A few programs, including the option to make yogurt, do not function properly. (Do not rely on words; it does not make yogurt. )br>After the first cooking, stains began to appear on the pot's bottom. Eggs that have been hard boiled (steamed) come out perfectly. 35 minutes on high for a whole roast chicken, and it's perfect. Both times, the white rice was outstanding. Because I live in a very dry climate, I added a tablespoon the second time. extra water, the rice was perfect that time (the first time it was cooked but a little dry for my tastes). The Ultrapot is fantastic, and I plan to use it at least once a week. The lid takes a little getting used to, and the instructions are a little hazy, but it works great. And the seller had it here in a matter of days, opting for free shipping, which was fantastic! I would buy from them again, and I am very happy with my purchase.
I chose this one because it has a lot of features and a large, easy-to-read screen. I've only had it for a short time, but I've already put it to good use. In half the time it would have taken in a slow cooker, I made a roast. By the way, you can use this as a slow cooker as well. My next project will be to experiment with egg bites. It even includes a few extra pieces! I'd buy it again in a heartbeat, and I'm a little disappointed it took me so long to do so.
OK, so I bought the Mueller 6 quart Ultrapot unit for Prime Day and received it two days later, and it works perfectly and has everything the instant pot ultra has for less money. What bothers me is that I simply called the Mueller Hotline on a Saturday and was directed to a voicemail system, so I hung up without leaving the message that was requested. I got a random callback about 15 minutes later from someone who sounded like they were from Austria, asking if I needed anything. I was taken aback and asked who this was. He said he was from Mueller and that he had just realized he had a missed call. So, naturally, I had a couple of questions about a steam basket accessory and how to use it. The man said flat out that he didn't want me to "use anything makeshift in the device" without hesitation. Then she asked for the number of my Amazon order. I received an accessory that I required without question and without charge as part of the one-year warranty/satisfaction guarantee. WOW, if that isn't putting your money where your mouth is, I don't know what is.
It's well worth the money you'll spend. Cooking simple and quick meals for myself and my son is a must, and the ease with which to clean up is always beneficial when you have a toddler. I was initially skeptical because the pressure I received was defective, but the seller restored my faith in the product, as well as customer service and satisfaction. She went above and beyond to correct the situation, and I couldn't be more grateful for her thoughtfulness and constant attention throughout the process. This is a cooker that I strongly recommend.
looks great, the material isn't as heavy as it should be, but it gets the job done, I like the valve system so far, it works well, the pot is made of light SS, I wish it was heavier, I've used it a few times and it works great, I've made beef stew, lam, and chilly, and a variety of soups, all of which were delicious,.
