The Presto Precise Digital Pressure Canner is the first and only electric pressure canner to receive USDA approval for home canning. Regardless of what it says on the package, no electric pressure cooker is approved for canning. br>Even Presto claims that only their electric pressure canner is suitable for canning, and that their electric pressure cookers are not.
Whiskey Tango, how are you? Thank you very much for your inquiry. 100% PTFE (Teflon) and PFOA free insert As long as the steamer rack is placed carefully, the coating will not be damaged.
If you're referring to the large round disc in the back, I'll just leave it alone. It will self-adjust; simply lock the lid on and make sure the small dial on the top/front is set until the cooking time is up and the pressure is released. I understand that the instructions are a little difficult to follow. I've always had a traditional pressure cooker, but I recently upgraded to a two-in-one model. one. The first time I used it, I had to figure it out by trial and error. It works/cooks flawlessly once you've done it! Thank you for your time and consideration, and best of luck.

OK, so DON'T OVERTHINK IT when switching from one to the other. For more tips, consult the manual, instructions, or recipe book, or go online. You're going to be GOLDEN. ***As always, once cooled*** - Cleaning is a breeze. MY ONE AND ONLY SNARKY COMPLAINT (returning to the "beast" comment): I bought the LARGE ONE, which is currently occupying nearly half of a kitchen counter. It's also a lot bigger. I hoped for a mixture - lighter and easier to transport upstairs/downstairs, and to store alongside the OTHER countertop appliances/gadgets we keep in the root cellar. The main insert has a substantial weight to it. If you suffer from arthritis or have dexterity issues - Hard lift: pulling a pool of soup/etc. to freeze next fall. But! I'm going to battle. br>To summarize: Cleaning: 100% satisfiedbr>Cleaning: 100% satisfiedbr>Cleaning: 100% satisfied Cooking is a snapbr> Don't make the same mistake as I did. Follow the instructions to the letter! I mean, seriously. br>Weight/Size: Don't buy until you've completely remodeled your kitchen and given it its own dedicated space. A new shed is another option. Barn.
'Right out of the box,' as the saying goes. As if it had been washed, there were hard water drops on the lid and the inside pot. A water ring stain was also visible on the pot's bottom. On the bottom of the unit, there was a small scratch near the slightly worn rubber feet. Also, most new items include a plastic plug cover, but this one did not. I'm guessing it was a refurbished or used one that was sent to me. I returned it the same day it was sent to me. This one-star rating has nothing to do with the product's functionality.
This is my life's passion: I can cook FROZEN SOLID MEAT (as in 5-pound steaks) from frozen. In an hour or less, you can get 10 pounds of it. I can make yogurt, sterilize icky baby items, and whip up delicious soups, chilis, and stews in a flash that taste like they've been simmering for hours. And, perhaps most importantly, I now purchase dried beans rather than canned (a huge savings when you live in Hawaii and a regular can of beans costs $4!). For the past year, I've used it at least three times per week. That's just for dinner, not to mention the rest of the meal. I can't recall a time when I didn't have this gem.
Made for a low price. I wanted to trust this brand and didn't hesitate to do so; the product arrived in pristine condition and was well packaged. I noticed an edge peeling up from the LED cover almost immediately after unboxing it. I initially mistook it for a protective screen, but as I peeled it away, I discovered it was the actual cover, with the guts visible behind it. Made for a low price.
She adores it as well! The simplicity of use is ideal, and the small recipe book that comes with it is extremely helpful. is extremely beneficial. Everything in it is delicious, and I've learned how to adapt my family's favorites by first trying those recipes. It's simple and quick to clean up. Nothing, not even the gooey BBQ sauce, sticks. The only time you'll need to set aside is for the heat to build up and then for it to cool down until the steam escapes and the lid can be opened. Even with that factored in, you'll still be able to prepare a meal in half the time or less than you would with a conventional oven. In fact, I don't think I've used my oven since I got this cooker except for baking. I purchased the large version because I frequently prepare whole chickens, turkeys, ducks, ham, large racks of ribs, and large roasts. It is, without a doubt, the best thing for making homemade soups and chili. All of the meats are extremely tender and flavorful when they come out of this process. I wish this had been available when I was working full-time and working late into the evenings- Now I couldn't imagine my life without it!.
This is something I'd really like to like. The results have been fantastic every time we've used it! However, after only six months, I'm getting error codes that have nothing to do with how we're using it. I'm well past the deadline for submitting a valid return. However, it is now merely taking up counter space. I'm hoping to come across a useful manufacturer warranty. If that's the case, I'll post an update.
This product is simple to use, performs admirably, and is an excellent addition to any kitchen. As a lifelong vegetarian, I frequently make fresh soups and stews in order to use up my vegetables. I must say, I'm a big fan of pressure cooking in general, and of the 5 or 6 I've owned over the years, this has to be the easiest to use. When under duress, it appears to be very safe and effective at relieving pressure. The fact that it's electronic and has a variety of pre-programmed options that you can set and forget about. There are manual settings for more advanced pressure cooker users, but I rarely, if ever, use them. Pressure cooking is healthy and flavorful. I don't use the pot for all of its other functions, but it does have a lot. The 10 quart size allows me to make large batches of soups and stews, which I can freeze or share. It's always a good idea to keep a freezer full of fresh homemade soups on hand for those days when you don't feel like cooking. It's still going strong after a year and serves as a kitchen workhorse.
My 10-quart Crockpot Express Crock Multi Cooker has exceeded my expectations. I have a large family, and this is the ideal size and ease of use for us. br>Because I work the second shift, I can prepare a meal before going to work and know that when I get home, my babies will have a good home cooked meal waiting for them in the evening, rather than having to wait for it to dry out in the oven. For me, this is one less thing to be concerned about. br>I'm sure I'll try the majority of the recipes that came with it, as well as create some of my own. br>I've been a fan of the Crockpot brand for a long time and would never buy anything else. Keep up the good work, everyone at the Crockpot company, and may God bless you.
