Product Description

By entering your model number, you can make sure that this fits.
The revolutionary Instant Pot QuickCool Tray was created to assist your Instant Pot Duo Evo Plus* in releasing pressure faster than ever before.
The tray is made of durable silicone and lightweight aluminum and is extremely simple to use. Simply fill it with water and place it in the freezer; then, when your recipe calls for a Natural Release, place the cold QuickCool Tray on the lid to release pressure up to 50% faster — it's a huge time saver!
If you don't have time to freeze the tray before cooking, pre-made ice cubes will suffice!
Only works with the Instant Pot Duo Evo Plus, which comes in 6qt and 8qt sizes.
In no way should the QuickCool Tray be used to serve or store food or drink. One QuickCool Tray is included in the package.

Questions & Answers

Is this compatible with the Pro Plus model of the instant pot?

Thank you for contacting us with your inquiry! Yes, the QuickCool Tray for the Instant Pot Pro Plus model is compatible.

Has anyone else noticed the warning labeled "this product may expose you to lead and bpa" on the product's packaging?

It's fine if you don't eat the ice pack. Your food is never touched by the ice pack.

This is mentioned in the instantpot pro manual, but the description on this page only mentions the evo. Is it possible to use it with a pro?

I'm not sure if the Evo pro had a removable plastic cover on the front of the lid, but the Evo plus does. I believe it would work if it had a half moon shaped removable cover that exposed the metal portion of the lid. A standard instant pot lid will not work.

It's functional, but it should have come standard with the Duo Evo
4/5

After receiving my 8qt Duo Evo Plus around Christmas, I've been looking forward to this accessory for months. br>I've tried the quick cool feature without the tray by placing two ice cubes (the maximum liquid it can hold) in the spot on the lid, and while it's a little messy, it significantly reduces the time it takes for natural release. The actual QuickCool tray, which can hold significantly more volume, was expected to perform even better. br>br>The tray itself is well built, with an aluminum base for quick heat conductivity and a silicone bladder for holding water or ice cubes on top. It has a very solid feel to it, and I have no concerns about it breaking down anytime soon. Fill the bladder with water and freeze for a few hours, or simply fill it with ice cubes if you're in a hurry, according to the brief instructions on the box. I used the freezing water method to conduct the tests. I then added 2 liters of water to the instant pot and pressure cooked for 5 minutes, keeping track of how long it took from the end of the cook cycle to the pressure valve dropping. The following are the outcomes: Natural release: br>Normal: br>br>br>br>br>b Natural release with QuickCool Tray: 23 minutes and 19 secondsbr> 11 minutes and 2 secondsbr>br>By the time the valve was released, the solid block of ice in the tray had turned into slightly warm water, indicating that the lid does transfer a significant amount of heat. It significantly sped up the release time, but it was a little below the advertised "70% faster". Is the $10 price tag for this accessory justified? My response is: Maybe. If you make a lot of soups and stews that turn out messed up when using the quick release method and don't want to wait the 20 minutes it takes for a natural release, this could be the solution for you. To be honest, I believe this accessory should have come standard with the Duo Evo Plus from the start.

A cap or lid is required for this device
3/5

If you're anything like me, your freezer is at a premium. If it had a lid or a cap, it would be much easier to put it in the freezer to chill and not leak all over the place if it slipped.

Worth it
5/5

I understand the other reviewers' point of view on how this should have come standard with the Instant Pot. However, I have given it 5 stars based on how well it performs. I've used it a few times since buying it a few weeks ago, and I can attest to the fact that it significantly reduces release time; I use my Instant Pot for quick weeknight meals, and an extra 20 minutes makes a difference to me. If you have more time on your hands, it might not be worth it. However, I believe it should be evaluated on its own terms. It works well, is well-built, and is simple to operate.

This is a must-have product, and I love how natural it is! The 8-quart Instant Pot Pro is a fantastic product that I recently purchased
5/5

Fill to the line with water and freeze, or use small ice cubes in a pinch (though the opening isn't ideal for ice cubes being only 1-inch wide). 1/2" X 2- 1/2"). This goes on top of the lid on the hot plate opening (if your IP is designed for it). The handle is easy to grip, and the silicone material is extremely durable, so it won't bend or flatten, causing a water mess. It drastically shortens the time it takes for natural release. It's a great way to save time! When making pasta dishes or other dishes that require some natural release before fast release, I frequently use it. It was well worth the money!.

There's no way to secure it! The tray that is removed to make room for this QuickCool tray has several tabs on one side and a clip on the other, ensuring that it is kept in place securely
3/5

br>br>How about this QuickCool tray? No tabs! It just sags around in an ill-fitting environment. This is unforgivably bad!.

This isn't something you'll need
3/5

I purchased it, filled it with water, and placed it in the freezer about ten days ago, but I have yet to use it. As a result, I suppose it isn't a must-have item.

It's fantastic! This may appear to be a gimmick, but it reduces the NR on my Instant Pot significantly for me
5/5

When the tray is used, NR takes about 10 minutes to complete, rather than the usual 20 to 30 minutes. Time: 25 minutes.

QuickCool Technology is a true game changer! It works like a charm, reducing the time it takes for natural release to half or even less
5/5

When you're done, pop it back into the freezer. Easy, quick, and straightforward.
