I bought this pressure cooker primarily because I needed something I could trust to cook rice (it has multiple rice settings, and I wanted to replace my rice cooker), as well as pressure cook beans, and I didn't want something as ugly as the instapot. It's difficult to tell how it compares to the instapot in terms of pressure level based on the written materials. I believe it is slightly lower, but only marginally so. (Electric pressure cookers, according to the manufacturer's instructions, reach a certain pressure but do not maintain it. ) So, who knows what the true level of pressure is? )br>I'm enjoying the machine so far, but if you want to adapt instapot recipes for it, you'll need to get a feel for how long it takes to reach pressure. The timer on this, unlike the instapot, includes the time it takes to come to pressure. So I estimate 10- 15 minutes depending on what I'm making, the temperature, and the water level. It takes 20 minutes for the pressure to build up. This is significant because the multi cook function allows you to set your own cook time. Other options, such as "browning fry" (also known as sauté), are also effective. The rice function is generally good—white rice is perfect, gaba rice is ok (a little sticky), and brown rice is ok. I'd like to try something new. I use the multi cook for beans at maximum temperature and pressure, and it works great. br>I'm not sure how the instapot cleans. With the gasket and all, this is a bit of a pain. Although it has a self-cleaning feature, I still remove and clean the inner lid and gasket by hand every time I use it. Also, don't use a metal spoon in this machine because it will scratch the coating; instead, use the spatula/rice paddle that comes with it. br>I hope this information is useful in determining whether or not to purchase the machine.

Overall, I appreciate the adaptability and multi-purpose nature of the product. performs its functions Other reviewers have already mentioned that programming can be difficult at times and that some of the buttons must be firmly pressed; there is no need to repeat what others have already said. I like the feature of being able to saute/brown with the lid open, and the keep warm function works well. Because you have to press the select button to access other menu options (I had to look up how to do this), I initially assumed it didn't have a keep warm feature. This will teach me to read directions haha Great cook and love the choo-choo-choo-choo-choo-choo-choo-choo-choo-cho choo choo choo choo choo choo choo choo choo, choo cho.

Love it. The manual should be read. Some settings, such as regular rice, require the use of a subfolder. Yes, there is a smell at first, but I washed all of the parts and ran it through the dishwasher twice. 20 min. The odor was gone after a couple of sanitizer cycles. br>So far, it's produced perfect rice - Sushi, jasmine, and regular rice are the three types of rice available. I baked a small cake on the lowest oven setting, and it turned out beautifully. Caramelized onions and a seared steak Now we'll see how long they can last. br>I have a pressure cooker from a different brand, but I prefer the Cuckoo. When the pressure is released, the steam is released more safely. It also alerts you if the lid is not completely closed, even if it is slightly ajar. The ideal size for two people. 4 people.

For the first seven years, I used a basic Fagor model. I bought an InstaPot after it broke and hated it for a few years, to the point where I almost stopped using it. Cuckoo was suggested by one of my friends. It appeals to me greatly. In just 50 minutes, the meat stew is incredible, the apple and cherry case is moist and fluffy, and the rice is perfect. top-notch (even my picky child began to eat rice cooked at home), fantastic shrimp, and I even tried cooking lobster tails. Amazing machine that I would strongly recommend. It also includes recipes, which are extremely useful in terms of determining when to use them and how to adjust the family's old-fashioned cooking methods. my personal favorites.

I followed the recipe exactly (the results were more like porridge than rice), but it didn't work. br>After several failed attempts, I gave up. Now I only use it to cook brown rice. br>Had I known about the problem, I would not have purchased this item and should have returned it. br>This is the only Amazon purchase that has disappointed me.

Pros; I like how easy it is to clean and how it communicates with you. br>Multiple uses For a chipotle-inspired meal, I used barbacoa, sweet corn, and cilantro rice. It was a great success!
Cons: There is no on/off switch, so you must press the cancelbr>and start buttons with a light touch to operate. To turn it off, you must unplug it. br>Overall, I am very pleased with it.
