Questions & Answers

Is there an oil collection tray? We're making an attempt to prepare pork. It would be fantastic if we could clean the tray while it was being prepared. ?

The grate has a tray that goes underneath it. The tray is the full size of the grill, so it can hold a lot of juice; however, the grate physically sits on the tray, so you can't remove it while cooking. So far, I've found that the tray is large enough to catch any dripping juices. I've never cooked pork on it, and I'm not sure if pork drips more than chicken or beef, so I'm not sure what to say. I can assure you that unless pork drips significantly more than beef, the tray should be more than adequate to catch any oil. Also, because the element does not heat up the tray, anything that drips on it should not burn.

Is this grill suitable for grilling steaks, fish filets, patties, and chicken? Is it of good quality?

To each and every one, yes. Because, unlike a griddle, air circulates through the grates, the quality will be very close to that of grilling. You won't get a smoky flavor from charcoal, but you won't get a propane taste either. It's especially good for delicate fish because it's non-toxic. The quality of the stick is exceptional.

Has anyone used or can tell me the differences between the cc15 and the dlc10? I'm willing to spend the extra money if the experience is better. ?

I realize it's been a long time, but. The cc15 is rated at 1500 watts, while the dlc10 is rated at 1300 watts.

In comparison to an outdoor gas grill, beef burgers and stakes seem to do well, but chicken is always burned while grilling. What can be done to prevent it?

Before you cook the chicken, marinate it for several hours (or even a day). Apply a generous amount of oil to the meat. I was able to cook bone-in pork chops successfully. in skin- This grill has been used for years to cook chicken thighs. It was used both inside and out. I'll never be able to compete with a gas grill in terms of performance. I would never use this to grill vegetables such as potatoes or onions, for example. It took an eternity to cook even mushrooms.

Nothing of the sort occurred
5/5

No smoke. The first time I grilled burgers, my wife predicted that the apartment would fill with smoke. Nothing of the sort occurred. The flavor reminded us of when we used to cook outside in N. This is the grill to get if you want an easy-to-use, no-smoke indoor grill.

What an embarrassment! I'm astounded by how well this grill has been received
3/5

It was a terrible experience for me. I read several reviews, got tips on how to use it from other owners, read the product manual and instructions, and meticulously followed all of them. All I did was cook a few hamburger patties on the grill. I've never seen a grill produce so much smoke and spatter! We live in a basement apartment with smoke detectors in every room. I was so worried that the alarms would go off, but they didn't because we fanned the area and opened every door and window. This grill has really let me down.

Amazing for Korean BBQ/Yakiniku (Japanese for Korean BBQ), Burgers, Steaks, and a variety of other dishes! Based on all of the positive reviews, I decided to purchase this grill, and it has completely blown my mind! It's on a whole different level than a lot of other grills I've had in the past, like the George Foreman grill, which is complete garbage in comparison to this one
5/5

br>br>I first used it to make homemade burgers, and let me tell you, it was even better than using an outdoor gas grill or even charcoal. The outside had beautiful grill marks and was perfectly charred. The outer layer of the meat had a slight but light crispiness to it, but the inside was juicy and tender, just like it is when cooked on an outdoor grill. This is something I've never seen before with an indoor electric grill. This is the first. br>br>I'm very excited to try Korean BBQ with thin slices of ribeye for bulgogi and galbi (beef short ribs with beautiful color and texture from the marbling), samgyeobsal (pork belly), shiitake mushrooms, onions, garlic cloves, asian sweet potatoes, zuchinni, pumpkin/squash, carrots, all with a light drizzled coating of sesam There's no need to go out to eat when you can do everything yourself! br>br>Burgers, steaks, sausages, bratwursts, hot dogs, fish, chicken—this grill can handle it all. The heat is excellent, and it can sear any meat to seal in all of the juices. I've always had issues with my other indoor grills failing to provide enough heat to properly cook the food, which is critical and makes all the difference. If necessary, this grill can reach extremely high temperatures. br>br>Cleaning can be a pain, but it's not impossible; I usually wrap the drip tray in foil and toss it out when I'm finished. Clean the grill surface with the OXO Panini Brush and warm/hot soapy water, then let it dry before using again. br>br>I would strongly recommend this grill to anyone who enjoys Korean BBQ, Yakinuku, cooking burgers, steaks, chicken, fish, pork, lamb, grilling vegetables, and so on. It is without a doubt one of the best purchases I've ever made, and that is saying a lot. This company produces fantastic goods!.

Definitely worth the money
5/5

This item arrived even sooner than I anticipated. The order was delivered the same day, and the packaging was excellent. I've used this product a few times and it's very simple to use and clean. As you can see in the photo, I've cooked steak, ground beef, scallops, shrimp, and chicken so far. Vegetables were also included, and the cooking time was comparable to that of a standard outdoor grill. I'm pleased with my purchase and plan to use it throughout the year. I would recommend it to anyone. Cleaning was just as simple, and to save time, I lined the drip pan with aluminum foil, which means I don't have to wash it after each use. I'm on a special diet and don't use any oils or sprays when cooking, but as you can see in the photo, the chicken had lovely grill marks, and washing it was a breeze because I have a soft bristle brush and a soapy sponge, and voila! br>After reading reviews of other products, I decided on this one, which I love.

It's the one I'm always on the lookout for
5/5

When we chose our home, it had a large open field behind it, and all I could think about was all the cookouts we'd have. Then, due to forest fires in the Great Smoky Mountains, our HOA enacted a no open flame grilling policy. I wouldn't say I could live on grilled food, but I suppose I could in some ways. My wife, on the other hand, adores grilled steak but not much else. Burgers and hot dogs from the grill are the kids' favorite foods, but they aren't interested in much else. Salmon is my main course. Because I'm the only one in our family who eats salmon, it was a bit of a chore to light up a big gas grill just to cook two pieces of salmon for myself. Every week, four times. I've tried a lot of them; we have a Cuisinart Griddler, two George Foreman "champs," and I recently tried one of the Power Smokeless Grills (review here on Amazon). The Griddler is a nice piece of equipment that makes fantastic hot sandwiches (similar to a Panini Press). But none of those hot grills are suitable for my salmon. I knew I needed something that was more flat and heated up quickly, so I took a chance on this Zojirushi, and here's what I think after a week with it. This is by far the best indoor grill I've ever used. br>br> There's almost no smoke, and I'm confident that the design, which some may consider a drawback, is the reason for its success. Unlike press-style indoor grills, the cooking surface of this one cannot be washed in the dishwasher. The burner is built into the cooking surface, so this is the case. There are no plates to be removed, washed, and reinstalled, snapping into place and attempting to make good contact with the burner. It does take away the "ease" of removing the trays and placing them in the dishwasher, but I've used it four times now and, based on other reviews, it's not only the best indoor grill I've used, but it's also the easiest to clean. This is what you get when you purchase this grill. A grilling surface with holes that produces excellent grill marks. The grease simply drips through the food as it sits flat on the surface. A metal tray the same size as the cooking surface/burner can be found beneath it. It collects the grease that has dripped down from above. A plastic base sits beneath the metal tray, which helps to keep everything in place. You can place a sheet of foil in the drip tray and then roll it up and throw it away when you're done cooking. The cooking surface is the only thing that needs to be cleaned. The thermostat is plugged into the receptacle on one end. You keep that end angled up out of the warm water in a sink and clean it with a brush or cloth. I'm not joking when I say it's that simple. What is the mechanism behind it? br>br>I used it three times to make two six-ounce salmon pieces (1/2 inch thick). It was ready after I set the thermostat to high and waited three minutes. I cooked the salmon on high for 7 minutes, then flipped it and cooked it for another 7 minutes. Grill marks, flakiness, and everything else you'd expect from an outdoor grill are all present. You're not going to say, "This tastes exactly like food from my gas/charcoal grill," if you're coming from a charcoal or gas grill. It can't because it isn't made of gas or charcoal, but it tastes great and the food is hot. It was only supposed to be used for salmon at first. The kids, on the other hand, got up and decided they wanted grilled hamburgers for whatever reason. I cooked six at a time, for a total of twelve, in less than 25 minutes. The kids (possibly the pickiest eaters on the planet) loved the grill marks, which were well done in the middle. I ate 4. br>br>I can't tell you how many times I've passed this grill up while browsing Amazon. Even better, it's forty dollars less expensive than I recall. I'm so taken with it that I've already decided what I'll get my brother- law for Christmas, and I'm thinking about getting a few more as gifts. I'm the friend/relative who buys you things that aren't particularly exciting, but which you will thank me for the following year. Throughout the ratings, I gave it 5 stars. As simple as it gets in terms of assembly. It had already been mentioned that it was simple to clean. And while durability will be determined after a year or more of use, I don't see why anything should go wrong. I can see how not having a dishwasher bothers some people, but once you see how easy it is to clean (excellent non-stick), you'll be glad you didn't. You'll see that the trade-off isn't as significant as you might think. This makes me happy, even if the salmon don't.
