This is a good grill, but it isn't for everyone
3/5

My family was looking for a new grill, and a friend showed me the 12-serving version (the rectangular one), which impressed me greatly. We used to own George Foreman Grills, which I despised because they seemed to ruin the flavor of whatever you were cooking. This, on the other hand, appeared to be the long-awaited product from George Foreman that I had been anticipating. We didn't have enough space to store a traditional outdoor grill or use it in the winter because we have a four-person family and live in the northeast, so we chose this one. We liked that it was big enough for our family, that it could be used both inside and outside, and that it seemed to work well without the hassle of having to buy propane. Here are some advantages:
1. You won't have to deal with any gas, and you'll save money. If you don't have access to a gas grill, there are plenty of options.
2. It quickly heats up, usually within three minutes. The time limit is five minutes.
3. It thoroughly cooks food while keeping it juicy and moist. (It takes a little getting used to the temperature settings, but it's not a big deal after that. ) )br>br>The disadvantages, in my opinion, are the reason it's been sitting in our basement for the past year or so. I wish I had gone with the 12-serving version instead. On this thing, I've cooked for a total of ten people, and that's pretty much the only time I use it now. Otherwise, unless I'm grilling the entire meal on it, cooking for our family of four becomes more of a hassle. The disadvantages are as follows:
1. It's a chore to clean. It's not that it's difficult to clean, but because of its circular shape, it barely fits in the sink. Cleaning the lid is the most difficult part, which I believe would be much easier if the 12 serving version was available.
2. A longer cord is required. It's only a few feet, so don't get your hopes up. Using an extension cord is something I always have to do. br>3. Good luck if you want to use it in your kitchen and don't have a lot of counter space. Its circular design, once again, takes up more room than is required. I usually have to put it on the stovetop, which restricts how much I can use the stove.
4. The grease channel in the middle is necessary, but it is a pain to deal with. If the drains at the bottom become clogged, all of the grease simply accumulates in the channel. Whatever you put in the middle will be soaked and caked with whatever is flowing into the drip pain. Obviously, you should avoid putting any food in the center, but this isn't always possible due to the design.
5. Don't forget about the drip pan when it comes to grease! Once, I forgot to put the drip pan in the oven when I was cooking bacon. Because it's on the inside of the lower grill, it's very easy to overlook. It wasn't until there was a puddle of grease on the floor that I realized what had happened. Cleaning bacon fat out of every crevice of this thing and off the floor was clearly not on my to-do list that day.
6. It appears that cooking hand-formed burger patties is impossible. I'm a guy who enjoys preparing fresh patties with a variety of ingredients. Thick patties appear to become so moist that they disintegrate and take much longer to cook on a traditional grill. When thin patties are cooked, they get stuck in the grill channels and fall apart when flipped. Even adding ingredients to aid patty structure appears to be ineffective. This is not a grill you should buy if you enjoy stuffed burgers. br>br>Overall, I believe the grill does the job and is suitable for those who are unable to use a gas grill. I'd recommend starting with the 12 serving grill to see if it's a better fit for you. I'm sure it's a lot simpler to use, store, and clean both indoors and out. I will, however, switch back to a gas grill once I have the funds and space. The flavor is unbeatable, and this grill pales in comparison to the experience of cooking on a real grill. br>br>I hope this information is useful!.

The ideal apartment grill! We won't be able to use charcoal or propane grills in our new apartment
5/5

We're big BBQ fans, and we were determined to find a way to keep eating our summer favorites. We had previously owned a George Foreman counter top grilling machine, so we searched for electric grills and were overjoyed when we discovered this one! We purchased it prior to Memorial Day. Our annual barbecue was held. Our entire family, as well as ourselves, were ecstatic with the outcome of our meal! One of the best features of this grill is that it can be used with or without the stand; we used it on our kitchen table and then stowed it away on the counter. The fact that it was so easy to clean was my husband's favorite feature. We are extremely pleased. ready for all of the summer vacations to come!.

This grill is ideal for a balcony in an apartment
5/5

This grill is ideal for a balcony in an apartment. It was simple to clean, and it is completely non-toxic. stick. In contrast to other brands, this one heats the plate rather than the lights. It cooked beautifully and was incredibly simple to set up. If you have a small balcony, I would strongly advise you to purchase this.

After a few months of use, this piece of garbage will not clean up
3/5

What a piece of garbage! This irritates me to no end. It sticks terribly when it gets a little older. I tried every cleaning tip I could find, and they were all a waste of time.

Customer service at the George Foreman Company is surprisingly good! Well
3/5

The same issue exists with my third grill. The power plug is loosely attached to the grill and "powers off" after a minute. Inexcusably poor design! How can you make only electric grills without figuring out a safe way to keep the power on? br>I had my first one for about a year before the connection between the plug i stem that inserts into the grill plate broke, and it would only heat if I stood and wiggled it just right. br>I reasoned that it was possible that I had just received a bad one. I repurchased the same one, but the same issue has rendered it unusable after only 6 months. br>br>Within 48 hours of posting the above review, I received a phone call from someone informing me that these grills are covered by a three-year warranty. He provided me with a replacement at no cost to me. You did an excellent job!.

The grill that I prefer
5/5

This grill was purchased in 2005, I believe. After two months of adoration, I began to be concerned that it would eventually wear out and we would have to purchase another. In 2018, I started using the backup after the original began to fail due to chipped contacts at the plug-in connector. Although the first was still employed, I believed it was past time for him to retire. br>The second one is currently in use and performing admirably, and I also purchased a third one, which is still sealed in a box and waiting to be used. br>Quick, dependable, simple to use, and simple to clean. Hot dogs and roasts can be cooked on low or medium heat, while steaks can be cooked on the highest setting. br>After a 5-minute cook time on high heat, minutes before the event Medium rare steaks require 12 minutes of cooking time at a high temperature. Costco's large and thick steaks took 14 minutes to cook. br>On leaner cuts of meat, 4- It only takes 8 minutes.

Year of the grill- round and simple to clean At only $80, this is an incredible deal! It's set up in my kitchen and is ideal for the winter months when grilling outside isn't an option
5/5

I've prepared hamburgers, hot dogs, grilled chicken, and grilled portabello mushrooms thus far. There is almost no smoke produced, and I've always used it with the cover on. You can open or close a vent near the top depending on how steamy you want the inside to be. I'm 5'10", so the stand is at a good height for me to cook without bending over. Clean- The grill area lifts right off, so all I have to do is wash it in the sink and wipe it clean; the inside of the cover will also need to be washed and wiped clean. A grease/fat catching tray is also located beneath the grill. I just waited for it to cool before wiping it down with a paper towel. This purchase has made my life a lot easier because it allows me to grill all year long. round, and the price is unbeatable.
