George Foreman 4-Serving Removable Plate Grill and Panini Press, Platinum, GRP3060P

Even though it was still going strong, I decided it was time to upgrade to a larger model. When I received it, I was disappointed because it was made of cheap plastic and was not nearly as durable as the one I had for 18 years. br>br>It worked fine the first time I used it, but the second time I used it, it began to smoke. With it, I literally had to run outside. Something internal appears to be loose and burns when used, so I can no longer use it. I'm so disappointed because I threw out my old one and I'm past the 30-day return period because I didn't use it right away. I'm going to contact the company to see if I can get a replacement under the manufacturer's warranty so that I don't lose any money. br>br>As things stand, I used to like George Foreman, but if this is how their products are now represented, I can't recommend them.

My wife gave it to me for Father's Day to replace an old legacy grille we've had for a long time, which still works fine but is more difficult to clean because the teflon coating has worn off and the plates can't be removed for cleaning. We decided to get a new one with removable plates, and she chose this one. br>The Positive: It's a real winner when it comes to cooking. We did a London Broil and it turned out beautifully; the plates are easy to remove for cleaning and have cleaned up nicely so far. br>Contrary to popular belief, there are some disadvantages to using this product. 1) It's a small group of only ten people. The size of the print is 5 x 12 inches. Our previous one was twice this size, and while it's fine for most of the time, I'd say it's too small for a family of four. 2) We were able to store our old one standing up. Reduce the amount of space in your pantry. This isn't the case here. 3) When it's hot, it's difficult to handle. Our previous one had side handles that could be used to move the grill around when it was hot. Until it cools down, all of the surfaces on this one become too hot to touch. br>Finally, I wish wifey had spent an extra $20- A larger, easier-to-handle model will set you back $30.

The nonstick plates on my grill, which I bought less than a year ago, are rusting along the ridges. Hand-washing the plates with dishwasher detergent, hot water, and a soft sponge was the only option. There are two lights, one red and one green, according to the instructions. In about four and a half minutes, the green light on the grill should turn on, indicating that it's ready to use. Before turning green, the light changes to an amber color. There's no mention of this in the instructions, and the light doesn't turn green for another four and a half minutes. I have now owned three George Foreman grills. This one does not appear to be as well-made as the previous two, and I doubt it will last as long as the previous two. The nonstick surface is already showing signs of deterioration, so it's unclear how long the nonstick plates will last.

This is the second time I've used a George Foreman Grill. After 20 years of service as the non-GF grill, I retired it. The stick coating on the plates had almost completely worn off. After several months of use, this grill has proven to be reliable. Everything works flawlessly right out of the box. I mostly grill salmon and veggie burgers on it, but I'm sure it can cook just about anything. I like the removable plates for easy cleaning and the ready-to-cook light, which I didn't have on my previous model. I'm very pleased with this model for the price!.

It's adequate for a few applications, but it has flaws even then. There is no temperature control, and the ease of cleaning wears off quickly, but the ease of use is fairly high, but only if you use half the amount of food that they recommend. It's a small cooking device with very thin and inexpensive top and bottom metal plates. There's also a very thin layer of non-sticky stuff on top of that. keep an eye out for them To me, this is a very short-lived device designed to deceive consumers into believing they are getting a high-quality, long-lasting device; good uses would be for small groups (2 people) and infrequently used indoor cooking occasions.

This grill, on the other hand, has completely transformed my cooking experience. br>br>I'm now confident in my ability to cook chicken, and I always end up with perfectly moist, evenly cooked chicken breasts; all I have to do is marinate them, toss them on the grill, close the lid, and voila! It's just as simple to clean up as it is to cook with. The same goes for burger patties, though when it comes to fish, I prefer to cook it in the oven or on the stovetop. The fish flaked off and stuck to the grill both times I tried it, even with oil. br>br>Perfect for a quick grilling session.

The measurements of the surface are correct, but the images of the food on the grill are not. I can comfortably fit two Foster Farms frozen chicken breasts (the 10 pound bag size) on this 4 serving grill. So, while the surface area is large, it isn't as large as the pictures suggest. It's ideal for two-person households, but it's not bad if you have more because it cooks everything quickly; we simply feed the kids first while the next set cooks. br>The grilling plates are easy to remove for cleaning, and everything wipes right off. And they've never fallen off while the grill was turned on. br>Overall, I'm happy with this purchase, and it's opened up a whole new world of dinner possibilities for me now that I can grill anything!.
