Whynter BR-130SB Beverage Refrigerator with Internal Fan, Black/Stainless Steel

I've had this mini fridge for 9 months and have only used it to store drinks and turn it on a few times. However, in less than a year, it has completely disintegrated. Other, less expensive mini fridges have lasted me much longer than this one. The inside plastic sealant completely blew away, and the temperature gauge is stuck in place and cannot be moved. (I've never attempted to change it. ) I tried emailing their product support and have yet to receive a response. Don't throw your money away.

Because I prefer bottles to cans, I took down a few of the shelves. The beverages are delicious and refreshing.

By flipping a door on one of the units, I was able to turn it into a bar unit. They appear to be one larger, more expensive cooler. They do an excellent job of keeping the bar's beer and soda cold. This is a unit that I would recommend. It can hold a lot of drinks and keep them all as cold as you want them to be. If you put cans on the top shelf, make sure there is enough space in the middle of all of the shelves for the fan to circulate the cold air from top to bottom of the unit. I experimented with a variety of loading options until I found one that allowed the air to flow freely. I discovered that packing the top shelf without leaving any room for air flow causes the top cans to become very cold, whereas leaving a little air space helps cool the lower shelves. The cooling elements are hidden behind the plastic in the unit's bottom, and packing the cans tightly together on the bottom transmits the cold much better than leaving space between the element and the cans. Overall, the units perform admirably in terms of keeping things cool. I ordered two separate units so that I could tailor the temperatures to the contents. Wine, as opposed to beer and water, can be a little hotter. As a result, I simply load it and adjust the temperature to suit the contents. The units have a thick glass door that effectively keeps the cold out. When lit, the led lighting creates a pleasing appearance. They are controlled by switches and do not light up when the door is opened. They must be turned on and off manually. The units have worked perfectly so far and are relatively quiet. They were well-packaged, with very heavy cardboard boxes, and arrived in perfect condition. These appear to be of good quality, so we'll see how long they last. The handles are heavy and of good quality, and the doors are very easy to change direction. The coolers have gotten a lot of positive feedback. I believe that having two units is a better solution because it allows for better temperature control. They appear to be one large unit when placed in a cabinet. The value for money is unbeatable. I'll keep you updated if any problems arise. So far, everything has gone smoothly.

So far, it's been a success. After a quick inspection of the shipping box, I was ready to return it. I'm not sure it could take another one. The product was harmed by a hard drop, which bent the hinges, caused the door to fall off, and bent the back corner. Under the unit, I discovered 5 door bearings. Because I work in the refrigeration industry, I'm used to dealing with repairs. Exterior three sides quickly warmed, and refrigerant could be heard entering the evap. So there was still a charge on the plate. The forced air evap and fan motor are why I chose this unit. In comparison to a static unit, the box cools faster and more evenly. The LED light has become our kitchen's night light. The front of the compressor has plastic feet, but the back has a metal base that sits on the floor. DO NOT SLIDE THE UNIT ONTO THE FLOOR, AS THIS WILL DAMAGE THE FINISHES ON THE TILES AND WOOD. Since the box's bottom was open, something may have fallen out. Overall, I'm giving it a five-star rating because the shipping damage is not the equipment manufacturer's fault. 03c.

Now it's working perfectly! After 5 months, I am very pleased. br>br>The initial installation was done behind the counter. However, each side of the top is about 4 inches open. There was insufficient ventilation and air movement, and the auto shut-off function was activated. The high heat build-up was causing off to trip. br>br>Be sure to follow the instructions to allow for adequate air circulation around and on top of the container. The under-counter installation did not work out.

We had this installed in our kitchen island, but make sure there's enough room for air circulation so the fridge doesn't get too hot - In the back of the fridge, there was a lot of empty space. This is ideal for drinks. A few of the movable shelves were removed. Quick shipping and a good price. I'm very pleased.

So, in contrast to the negative feedback related to shipping issues, My package arrived in excellent condition. Hard rubber inserts in the base corners, custom cut styrofoam to protect all corners, double boxed On the top and bottom of the unit, there is heavier duty cardboard. Glass door is protected. When I worked for UPS, we would have thought the current packaging was adequate- I'm not sure how much more they could do here without having to ship on a pallet and charging a lot more. br>br>Product: At this price, this is a nice looking, colder option than Frigidaire, NewAir, or GE. I'm not looking for a wine chiller; I'm looking for cool drinks. The fact that it has a handle and a glass door appealed to me. The fan is also useful, as some other units had inconsistencies in cooling, but the fan helps to even out the cool air. br>br>Mine has a minor scratch on the top of the door that only I can see-- I assumed it was already there because it was hidden under the protective film. It's a little disappointing, but I'm being picky. br>br>LED light is always on or off; will update if something breaks; otherwise, 5 stars. br>br>When you receive it, take a close look at the packaging and remember to set it aside for 4 hours to allow it to acclimate.
