There is no way to connect a k40 to a water line that I am aware of.
It worked flawlessly on both my 150 and K300se.
The 150 comes standard with a "U fill it" tank; an "automatic fill tank" is available for an additional $75. Although the 150 can be converted to automatic fill, it does not include the auto fill tank.
The adaptor that connects a male hose to a 1/4-inch plastic tube is the part you're after. It only serves as an adaptor and does not serve any other purpose. br>br>The water source fill on the auto fill for which this is specifically sold has a male hose thread. This converts it to a 1/4-inch plastic tube (for example, a refrigerator ice maker tube).

As a result, I can't blame the seller for the nearly 8-day delay. It was delivered by Amazon, which, by the way, has failed to deliver eight out of ten orders in the last month. So, after a four-day delay, we dashed to the hardware store. We went to Lowe's this time, but the items are available at any home improvement store. We discovered a number of items that can perform the same function as this item. The big difference is that we got a solid brass version for half the price, which means it's not only cheaper, but it's also 200 times better built. Also, the brass one has a much tighter 90-degree bend. When installed on a standard kitchen counter, this allows the tank to be placed closer to the wall. This item protrudes by more than a quarter inch. I'm not going to use it, and I probably wouldn't have even if it had arrived on time, because it appears to be poorly constructed. I'm glad some people have had good luck, but I wouldn't put my money on it.
I didn't know what I was doing when I bought a commercial keurig coffee machine for my office and wanted to connect it to the existing water line. I had no idea what I was doing, but a few YouTube videos and a pair of scissors later, I was up and running. I assumed it would be as simple as removing and replacing a hose, but it turned out to be a little more complicated, but nothing that an accounting manager (read: me) couldn't handle. not inclined to mechanical work).
The manufacturer still mentions buying a kit, which they don't appear to have on their website any longer. br>br>After some light searching, I came across this. The part fit perfectly, resulting in a much cleaner installation that allowed the coffee machine to be placed closer to the wall than many other options would have allowed. br>br>Adding the elbow to the mix was the cherry on top! This purchase has exceeded my expectations!.
These are fantastic, and if you connect them to the water line between the external filter and the refrigerator, you won't need the filter that goes behind the Keurig. It's worth noting, however, that they don't come with any tubing.
The angle is just right. I used a Keurig K155 coffee maker and the Keurig K150 Direct Water Line Plumb Kit to make this. The fitting was of good quality, and it connected to my existing RO 1/4 inch line to the refrigerator without any problems. I also used an iSpring ICEK Reverse Osmosis Water System Ice Maker Kit to tee off the line and provide a convenient valve to turn off the water at the coffee maker. It's very handy. br>br>With the right angle adapter, you can place the coffee maker closer to the wall without having to crimp the hose. This is the fitting you'll need to connect the 1/4 inch tubing to the back of the coffee maker if you're plumbing your K155, B155, K150, or B150.
I've been using it with my direct plumb kit for a few weeks now. There are no leaks, and everything functions as it should. Installing it took about 15 seconds (not including the time it took to run the water line). I had brass parts that I put together from Lowe's before, but I wanted a slimmer profile, and this fit the bill perfectly.
Finding a fitting for my Keurig was a godsend, and it saved me a trip to the hardware store. A water hose connector is used on the unit, which must be converted to 1/4" poly tube. This is the ideal fit, and the extra elbow is an added bonus.
This is exactly how it should be. It was extremely convenient to have the elbow because it allowed me to place my Keurig exactly where I wanted it. This was very simple to set up. Tighten it on your Keurig Direct Plumb Kit, and then insert your 1/4-inch water line, which should come from your inline water filter: It's easy to use and doesn't cause any issues. br>br>Update***
This is still holding up well after nearly four years. I've moved my keurig several times, removing and reinserting the water line each time, and it still seals and functions flawlessly.
