Any tall coffee cup will suffice.
It includes a 7-inch tall travel mug to keep the coffee hot. That is the tallest, according to my research - There isn't any available space!

What I like best about this single cup coffee maker is that it's simple to use, there's no wasted coffee (thank goodness it's only one cup), the coffee tastes great, and it takes up little space. The only complaint I had was that the coffee cup that came with the machine was a little warm to the touch, but not so hot that you couldn't hold it. It would be better if it had a handle, and I believe the on button was stuck, so when I plug the coffee pot in, it immediately starts to brew, forcing me to place the mug under it first. Since I had used it, I decided not to return it because it wasn't really an issue at the time, and I believe it was a manufacturing issue. For the time being, I am satisfied.
For a perfect mug of coffee, this is a great deal. A plastic mug can also be used as a mug. UPDATE: After two years, it's still going strong! My boyfriend misplaced the mug, which is a bummer, but he will be judged separately. Exactly what I was looking for! br>br> From regular grounds, it makes a perfect mug of coffee. Those soft pods (not keurig style) are also used, but I haven't tried them. The filter and basket are simple to remove and clean after a quick rinse. The thick, sturdy plastic mug hasn't leaked yet and keeps my beverage warm for at least an hour. Note that I was initially perplexed as to why I should keep the mug lid on while the coffee was brewing and dripping into the mug. I brewed it with the lid OFF the first time, but both methods work fine; I prefer to put in my creamer first, then brew with the lid on so that I can just grab the mug and go. br>br>There is a clear line for the water in a full mug. It's worth noting that the bottom of the mug isn't removable. It's made of plastic and has a built-in feature. The bottom plate piece isn't a 'warmer,' because it would burn the mug.
What you pay for is exactly what you get! BEWARE. *****UPDATE***** I had this coffee maker for about 2 months. It appears that I now own a tea kettle! Whatever I do, the coffee is so weak that it's disgusting. Yes, I've cleaned it twice with vinegar, and both times the results were the same: disgusting, weak coffee. There's also a pile of sediment at the bottom, which is disgusting. Please see the photos that are attached. This is something I'm going to throw away because it's a complete waste of money. br>******second edit***** I contacted Black and Decker because I was extremely dissatisfied with a coffee maker that only lasted two months. They offered to replace it, which they did very graciously! They send me a newer programmable version, as it happens. It worked for about a month before it stopped working. I used it Monday morning, put it on my counter, and went back to use it Tuesday morning, only to discover that it was not working. I'VE COMPLETELY COMPLETELY COMPLETELY COMPLETELY B& D actually offered me a refund for the first one I bought, which I gladly accepted. I'm now using a pour over method and I'm really enjoying it! I'm not going to buy another coffee maker, especially one from B.
Edit: had two of these things- I've been hating it for about a month now. I'm on the lookout for another. The problems I've listed are far too common. Spend a little more money on a better machine because this one is terrible. br>br>This is my third single-serve coffee maker in this price range (I don't use Keurigs). This was, in fact, the most expensive of the ones I've purchased. Here are some of my concerns: br>br>
- The water reservoir's opening is excessively small. When I pour water into it, I usually pour a little into the filter and it just drips down into the cup space. It makes a sloppy mess if I don't have a cup with me. Pouring water should be easier without that happening, and my older ones were much better at it.
- Because the base of the cup sits on a ridge while filling, you can't use just any coffee cup with this. Some of my mugs are unaffected, but the ones with a wider base sit poorly on the ridge and tilt. When coffee spilled out of the tilted cup while brewing, it splattered all over my counter and floor.
- the fact that once the brewing process has begun, it is impossible to stop it. Other single-serve coffee makers I've used in the past have been susceptible to interruption. This one specifies that each brew must be completed. I haven't tried lifting the lid to see if it will interrupt, but it isn't something that can simply be turned off. When I tried to stop it during one of the tilted cup episodes, this was a pain. br>br>Because of these issues, I will not purchase this model again, and I may purchase a different one sooner rather than later. Normally, I despise wasting money, but I simply do not care for this coffee maker.
