You can use any ground coffee you want; however, K cups will not work.
Yes, but if you're just making that cup, use it as a measuring cup before pouring in the water to ensure it doesn't overflow. Also, unlike most coffee makers, this one does not have a pause feature for switching cups; if you remove the cup during the brewing process before it is finished, it will simply pour out.
Yes, it certainly is! This single-serve coffee maker has an automatic shut-off feature.
It's made of vinyl. I'm already annoyed by the fact that the coffee maker is made of plastic, so this only adds to my woes. " I suppose the plastic insulates it better, but I'm hoping to find a stainless steel (not just on the outside, as this one is) mug that will fit. With my previous coffee maker, I had a stainless steel mug that I really liked.

I only have one or two cups of coffee in the morning, so getting out the big coffee maker isn't necessary. This is a much better cup of coffee than the big one! A small amount of coffee grounds remains at the bottom of the cup after the filter basket has been removed. It's not serious; it's merely irritating. We use a regular silverware spoon to measure and fill a standard coffee cup with water. For each cup, I used two rounded spoonfuls. We use regular coffee filters and cheap rubber bands from a bulk pack to secure them. Bread wrappers or garbage bags can also be used as a source of plastic coated wire ties. There is no mess because the bundle is placed directly in the filter basket. It's so simple to use, and I love how little space it takes up!.
I was very pleased with this small coffee maker at first. However, it has stopped working after only 5 months; I tried cleaning it with vinegar, baking soda, and water, but it didn't work. The majority of the water simply bubbles and spurts back into the reservoir. As a result, I am extremely dissatisfied and will not purchase another product from this company.
The review has been updated. br>After a week and a half of use, I requested a refund on this item. A tiny spring holds the power button precariously inside the unit. When the button was pressed, it became stuck inside the unit, and it began to melt and smoke. I got it unplugged, and I'm glad it didn't catch fire in my house; it also nearly scalded me when I opened the top water compartment. Returning it isn't enough, because it's not safe. br>br>It's well-made and long-lasting, but the coffee tastes strange when brewed.
Let me begin by saying that I recently began working from home in the mornings and returning to the office after lunch. Previously, I had made it a habit to stop for coffee on my way to work. I quickly realized that without my morning coffee, I was unproductive and cranky, especially since I didn't have to go in until after lunch. As a result, I began my search for an answer. I needed a single cup with a washable mug that was simple to use. The colorful options on the AdirChef drew my attention, and I thought it would brighten up my otherwise drab kitchen counter. Because of the price, I was skeptical about the quality, but hey, it's Amazon, and if I wasn't satisfied, I could return it. So I placed an order for it. It arrived, and I brewed my morning cup of coffee the next day. Everything went perfectly. Coffee that is nice, quick, hot, and tastes good. I was thinking in the back of my mind that this machine seemed tough enough, but this cup flexes a lot and makes little popping noises. Let's jump ahead to the morning of the next day. I made a cup of coffee and went to the restroom while it was brewing. When I returned, I picked up the cup and noticed that there was coffee on the counter. I couldn't figure out how it got there, so I cleaned it up with a paper towel. I went into my home office and began to consume alcohol. My mind wasn't working because I was still groggy. It never occurred to me that there was a problem. Because there was a drop of coffee here and there, I had to grab a kleenex and wipe my shirt. Apparently, in my haze of thought, I mistook myself for a sloppy drinker. It wasn't until I put the cup on my desk and noticed a small pool of coffee around the mug a few minutes later that I realized what had happened. Finally, a light went off in my head, and I realized it had a hole or something. I sipped the last of my coffee from the mug and peered inside, where there was a long crack. I'm not sure how it got there; all I can say is that the mug is of poor quality. I'd only hand-washed it and used it to make four cups of tea. (To ensure that any contaminants from the manufacturing process are flushed out, the manual recommends running two cycles of water through the machine before making coffee on the first use. ) I've decided to keep the coffee maker rather than returning it because it's in good working condition. I was surprised to learn that the replacement mugs they sell are solid aluminum, not plastic, and thus will not crack. I'm guessing they'd already discovered how bad this plastic one is. I believe they should increase the price by a few dollars and include the improved version from the beginning.
During an Army NTC rotation as a combat engineer, I was bungee corded in a Stryker over rough terrain. In the desert, having caffeinated coffee available 24 hours a day is priceless. This little guy has been abused for a long time and refuses to give up. During combined arms breaches, it's small enough to travel with and tough enough for 6 Soldiers to get hot coffee (1 cup at a time).
This coffee maker is one of my favorites. For the past few weeks, I've been using it in my office. Only two caveats: the nylon filter that comes with it is essentially a sieve, and the water does not stay in contact with the grounds for long enough; instead, I recommend using a one cone filter. Second, even though the water is hot (190 degrees), it could be a little hotter. This is also addressed by the cone filter. Overall, the construction quality, materials, and versatility make it an excellent choice for a quick and tasty cup of coffee at work.
If you're short on space, I think this coffee maker is a good option. I'm currently serving in the Army, and this coffee maker is ideal for me while I'm on the move; my only complaint is that the mug that comes with it doesn't keep liquids in very well. It keeps the coffee hot, but don't tip it on its side or you'll end up with a cup of coffee in your lap. If this company can pair it with a Contigo® mug, I think it'll be fantastic. Although I am not a Contigo® salesperson, I think their products are excellent. Thank you for such a low-cost product; the price is just right to appeal to a wide range of people.
This is an unexpectedly great little coffee machine! I was planning a trip to Spain, where hotel rooms rarely have coffee makers - I needed something that was both light and small in size - This was exactly what I was looking for. The coffee is extremely hot when it comes out of the machine. Cleaning is a breeze. The value for money is incredible. I would strongly suggest it!.
