Questions & Answers

How much do you think it'll cost you to make a loaf of bread in this machine?

The most accurate response is that it is determined by the price of ingredients, utilities, and labor. It's possible that you'll want to use organic ingredients, which will raise the price. It will be less expensive to use pre-purchased ingredients. Buying in bulk can also save money. Then there's the issue of power (electricity) and water costs. The cost of utilities will be taken into account. So far, my best guess is that the cost of a loaf would be very similar to the cost of a loaf made by hand, plus the cost of any utilities not used in handmade bread (e.g., electricity). , as well as the kneading and warming Baking costs will be comparable because both machine and hand baking will be comparable). The decision on which recipe to compare will be the next obvious factor. Having said that, br> I spent about $2 making the whole wheat nut bread recipe included in the instructions. That's a 2 pound loaf of walnut bread made with organically raised stone ground whole wheat flour, organic sugar, and pre-fermented yeast. cost of yeast measured packet, cost of dry milk above average, cost of nut pieces above average, and cost of: The three elements are salt, water, and electricity. It saves approximately 0 depending on how much you value your time. Using the machine saves 75 hours of labor compared to making the bread by hand. The consistency with which the machine prepares the bread has value, whereas a manual method frequently introduces variables such as rising/kneading times and rising temperatures. br>Because I chose high-quality ingredients, Any other loaf, in the end, would most likely be less expensive. If you want to make a comparison to a store-bought item, If you've ever bought'shelf bread,' keep in mind that this method can produce bread without preservatives, additives, or any other 'unknown' chemicals. What is the value of that?

How does this model differ from the PAC 20?

Which model comes with an extra heater?

What about sourdough bread recipes? Is this machine up to the task? Is "sourdough starter function" referring to the process of making starter or the process of using existing starter?

Making starter is what the sour dough function does. It takes ten days, and only one loaf is made from the entire batch. I developed a recipe that produces excellent bread by making a larger batch of starter without using the machine. The new Zojirushi machine is more popular among our family and friends.

The best bread machine ever! This bread maker has been in my possession for the past six years, and I use it on a daily basis
5/5

It took me a few tries to find a recipe that cooks perfectly in the machine, but now that I have, my bread always comes out perfect, whereas before it would come out funky or too large. It only takes a little research to find the right recipe. br>1 2T sugarbr>2tea sp saltbr>(I swish the salt and sugar around in the water to dissolve them before adding the rest of the indigents. ) If I don't, the bread comes out unevenly sized)br>A little less than 1/3 cup vegetable oil (I leave about 3mm of the measuring cup rim exposed)br>After that, I weigh out 4 cups of bread flour (4. A true cup of flour is 5 ounces). br>To make the softest bread, make a well in the flour and add 2 tea sp bread machine yeast. br>I bake the bread on the light setting. br>I set a timer for it to bake while we sleep, and we smell freshly baked bread every morning. We absolutely adore it! It takes me about 5 minutes to put the ingredients together. Fresh baked bread every day is well worth the investment!.

It's a nightmare to get help! You're screwed if you get a machine that doesn't work when it arrives! This was bought for my grandmother, who has been making bread with a bread machine for the past 25 years
3/5

She prefers this machine because it produces horizontal loaves rather than vertical loaves, as many other machines do. The machine looked great when it arrived, but it didn't work properly when she tried to bake with it. She contacted support because the machine is still under warranty, and they gave her the runaround, first asking if she keeps her flour in plastic or glass, and whether she keeps it in the freezer, fridge, or at room temperature. She was asked to buy a 5 pound bag of flour instead of the bulk bags she usually buys (she never buys store-bought bread; she makes cinnamon rolls, dinner rolls, and a variety of other breads all the time! Why would she ever need a 5 pound bag? They've also asked her to weigh her ingredients on a scale, which she did, chill her water, which she did, and bake a white loaf (which she doesn't eat) which she did, all of which yielded the same result; they've now sent her new paddles, but the loaf is still not cooking properly when she bakes it. It's a nightmare trying to get help. This has gone on for months, and all she wants is what she paid for and expected when she made the purchase. She tells me today that she needs to send the machine in so that it can be fixed and returned, but she still doesn't have a working machine. This company has completely disappointed me. It's supposed to be a million-dollar machine, but it hasn't been, and neither has support; be aware that if you spend the money, you may be put through the wringer for months with no real resolution. I'm so disappointed in her and sorry she has to go through this. This is something I would never wish for anyone!.

It's not worth the trouble - NO HELP WAS PROVIDED BY CUSTOMER SERVICE
3/5

My sister owns a model that is identical to mine. She enjoys it so much that she bakes bread and pizza dough on a weekly basis. I couldn't wait to try out the bread machine when it arrived! I watched the DVD and carefully followed the directions - The first loaf was lopsided, with the left side being much larger than the right and the right side being only a few inches wide. Cinnamon-raisin bread was my next attempt. I had to manually move the right paddle after opening the top, moving the dough, and moving the paddle. After that, I checked the machine again a few minutes later and noticed that there was no movement on the right side of the machine; I opened the top, manually moved the dough, and discovered that the paddle was stuck in the dough. I dialed the number for customer service - The dough was deemed too heavy, according to them. They suggested I get a scale to ensure the flour was not more than 544 grams after I told them I watched the DVD and followed the instructions. REALLY? So 4- What are the weights of 1/4 cup of flour? THIS COMPANY DID NOT MEET MY EXPECTATIONS!.

The dough had a metal fleck in it
3/5

The blade's metal leaked into the bread dough after three months. There was a large silver streak in the dough, which was alarming because I usually make darker dough and may not have noticed it. When I contacted the manufacturer, I was told that the machine was a waste of money and that I should return it.

The third use caused it to fall apart
3/5

It's been about a month since I got it. It's been sitting on my counter in the same spot for a long time. I unplugged the machine and these plastic pieces were flying out of the bottom, still attached to a long string. I put it on the dough function today and it started making a strange noise; I unplugged the machine and these plastic pieces were flying out of the bottom, still attached to a long string. I immediately contacted the seller, who informed me that I had purchased a USED BREAD MAKER IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. I assumed I was getting a new car for $400. They are unwilling to replace it or refund my money. I understand that the item has been used for 30 days, but it should not fall apart after the third use! This seller should not be purchased from. You could end up losing a lot of money, just like I did.

It's the most effective bread-making machine I've ever had
5/5

In March of 2010 (8 years ago), I purchased this model machine. I've been using it on a daily basis - During the school year, this is usually done twice a day. I dissolve the yeast in the water, then add the remaining ingredients according to the yeast dough recipe's instructions. I bake my bread in the 'quick' mode. The bread is made in a consistent manner. If there is a failure, it is due to mismeasurement or curious onlookers opening the machine while it is in operation. My son's friends constantly inquire about "mom's bread. " " I've made meatloaf as well, following the directions in the recipe book that came with it. I use organic oils like the ones listed below: Virgin coconut oil, olive oil, avocado oil, or butter are all good options. I also use flour that hasn't been brominated. It's the most effective bread-making machine I've ever had. If it were possible, I'd give it a higher rating.

My performance wasn't particularly impressive
3/5

The machine's layout appealed to me, and it was designed to produce a standard-size loaf. However, the machine's heat appears to be correct, and the kneading appears to be ineffective. It was impossible to make bread with it because it would not rise. Even if you turn the pre- On the heat cycle, nothing happened. I also changed yeast to ensure that the product I was using was completely fresh. I tried a few different recipes, but they all resulted in a congealed blob of crumbles after being overbaked. I'm extremely disappointed.
