Questions & Answers

I'm curious about the wattage of this appliance. Please accept my sincere thanks. ?

550 W

Is there a non-skid foot on the machine?

Yes, the feet are made of rubber. When I'm kneading, however, my dough bounces around a lot. It isn't very good.

Is it possible to set it to gluten-free?

It does! It's been two days since our bread machine arrived. I snapped a photo of the gluten-free multigrain recipe, handed it to my daughter to read, and dashed to the store to pick up the ingredients. We were eating warm bread three hours later. The ideal gluten-free loaf - We've never used a bread machine before, and it took us 4 hours and 10 minutes to make a standard 2 pound whole wheat loaf. The GF setting cuts the cooking time in half to 2 hours and 15 minutes, ensuring that the dough is not overmixed or overkneaded.

What is the wattage of this item?

The wattage is listed as 550 with a current of 110 on the unit's bottom plate. I hope this has been of assistance. We've had our unit for about six weeks and are very happy with how well it works.

Great! The first thing that drew me to this machine was its appearance - With a small footprint and appliance compatibility, this is a great option
5/5

I was worried that the vertical loaf would not bake evenly, but I gave it a shot and am glad I did. Even on the light crust setting, the loaves bake evenly and thoroughly. I appreciate the fact that the mixer paddle design is such that about 95% of the time the paddle is left in the pan when a loaf is removed, so there is no more digging in a% After experimenting with both regular and rapid yeast, I've decided to use rapid yeast in those recipes that allow it. In my 25 years of using bread machines, this is the best one I've ever had.

Bread that is delicious! This machine is very popular with my wife, despite the fact that it is not small
5/5

This makes bread making a breeze; simply add the ingredients, press a button, and you'll have bread in 4 hours. The only downside is that you'll be smelling bread baking all day, which will make you hungry.

0/10 There isn't a single success story to be found
3/5

All of the positive feedback here astounded me. I consider myself to be a competent home cook, but I'm stumped by this bread maker! Every single loaf has turned out to be a flop! They mostly sink in the middle, which is surprising given that I'm using the recipes that came with the machine. The one that didn't didn't have enough air in the middle to be used as sandwich bread. I've attempted ten different things, all of which have failed miserably. The dough was soupy when I made the cinnamon roll recipe from the booklet! I was baffled as to how that was possible! I went over my steps again and they were all correct; I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but this may be an item I return.

It's a Cuisinart, and I'm on my fourth loaf (whole wheat) right now, and I expect it to turn out just as well as the previous three since I bought it
5/5

I don't eat a lot of bread, but when I do, I prefer whole grain breads, so making them myself is cheaper (and more fun), and the Cuisinart bread machine, like all of my other Cuisinart kitchen gadgets, is fantastic. br>br>My favorite loaves are the rustic Spanish and Italian loaves, as well as the pizza dough feature, which I use to make homemade Romesco or Roasted Garlic-Basil Sauce. Pizzas with pesto made from red peppers. br>br>In comparison to years ago, when bread machines were a 'fad' and the going prices were outrageous and exorbitant, the price was also exceptional.

My most positive self-expression 2018's present I received it the day before yesterday and immediately put it to good use
5/5

It was my first time using a bead maker, as well as my first time owning one. I've done it before by hand. I made a white version of the recipe, replacing the butter with olive oil (3 tablespoons) and the dry milk with liquid almond milk. It worked flawlessly, and the machine is currently baking French bread as I write this review. br>We really like this machine because it's small and fits nicely on my kitchen counter. It's lightweight and simple to care for.

When the recipe is followed correctly, it produces delicious bread
5/5

I'm so glad I bought it when it was still available because of the Covid19 crisis. In the last three weeks, I've made about a half-dozen loaves of bread and had great success. First, I noticed that the bread maker did not include a paddle in several reviews. At first, I was thinking the same thing - Please note that the paddle is taped to the inside of a cardboard piece to prevent scratching of the maker's interior. They should make this more obvious, as I can see how people might miss it and throw it away by accident. br>br>As for the maker's qualities, it has a nice look on the counter and is small enough that I don't mind leaving it out in my smallish kitchen 24 hours a day. I should point out that I haven't tried any of the recipes in the cookbook that came with it. They seemed a little fussy, and there were no reviews on the recipes themselves, so I wasn't sure I could trust them. I bought a couple of bread machine cookbooks after hearing about them from a friend - Bread Lovers Bread Machine Cookbook is one of my favorites. I've also found recipes on the King Arthur flour website. br>br>It could be that the bread machine isn't working properly, but I think it's more likely that people aren't measuring properly or putting the ingredients in the machine in the correct order. I knew I had slightly overmeasured the water in my first loaf, but figured it wouldn't matter because it would be more moist. It was a little too light (though it was still tasty)! My bread didn't rise properly and was dense the next time I used the same recipe and was more precise with my measuring - it was perfect! Another time my bread didn't rise properly and was dense, but I didn't blame the bread machine - I know I made a mistake because it was honey bread, and I forgot to put the honey in with the liquid ingredients before adding the flour, so I ended up putting the honey on last, which I'm sure messed up the yeast activity. That bread, on the other hand, was still delicious and edible, albeit a little too dense. br>br>Another piece of advice I'll give is to make sure you measure flour correctly. I had no idea this was such a problem for so many people, but all of the flour books emphasize this, so make sure you know how to measure flour without packing it. I'm sure the bread won't turn out if there's a lot of flour in it. In contrast, bread books advise that if your dough is too moist during the mixing process, you should add flour during the kneading process with the machines. Through the window, I could see that my first loaf was likely too moist, but I was too afraid to intervene. I could tell my last loaf, a Hawaiian sweet bread, was too moist, so I added flour every few minutes during the second knead until it formed a smoother dough ball that held together. It turned out to be a delicious loaf of bread. br>br>In conclusion, do your homework on how to get the best results from your bread machine and enjoy the process and results!.

Only if you're an expert
3/5

I bought this machine in the hopes of saving money in the long run because I eat gluten-free. I hoped to follow a recipe, put it in the machine, and get a nice loaf of bread using the gluten-free setting. NO . THIS IS NOT THE CASE. People who rave about it have made changes to the recipes, added items, and "played" with the mixes, according to the reviews. THAT IS INCOMPLETELY INCOMPLETELY INCOMPLETELY INCOMPLETE It should function similarly to a traditional bread machine. It comes out exactly as you put the ingredients in. I'm not a baker, and I don't have time to mess around with food and ingredients. This will be returned to you. Unless you've got a lot of that, it's a waste of time and money.
