My Breville breadmaker, which cost $300, died just as it was about to expire. I decided to go the opposite route and purchase something for a much lower price; I already own a couple of Rovsun products that have served me well, so I decided to take a chance on this machine. br>br>I plugged it in and made my favorite white bread. Perfect! I threw my favorite whole grain bread recipe at it right away. I made my way to the office. I had resolved not to be upset if a $55 machine failed to perform admirably in a task that a $300 machine excelled at. The loaf was once again perfect! What a shock! br>br>Now the only question is how long it will last if I bake three times a week for the rest of the year. I also made strawberry jam, which turned out fantastically after the Breville failed. Despite being a little runny, it was delicious. To correct this, I'll make changes to the recipe. br>br>Do not rely on the recipes that come with the machine; there are many errors and oddities in them; instead, look for good recipes online; my recipes have been refined over many years, and any good bread machine should be able to do them. This one went above and beyond! br>br>Because the paddle on this bread machine is fairly common, I picked up a couple of extras just in case. The pan, on the other hand, may be more difficult to replace and will almost certainly cost more than what I paid for this machine!br>br>Oh, and it's much quieter than the Breville and has the same nuts and seeds dispenser. It makes a lot of noise when it adds the nuts and seeds, but it's not as bad as Breville. This purchase has made me extremely happy! a thiefbr>br>Update: For over a month, I baked three loaves per week. The show is still going strong! Remember that any bread machine requires wheat gluten and good yeast; the French bread cycle is tricky because the very long kneading may exhaust the glutten fibers, causing your loaf to fall apart. When you get it right, however, you get that chewy, crusty bread that is so difficult to make at home.
I've had several different bread machines over the years, but this one blew me away. My grandmother's bread machine served me well for many years, but the heating element was failing, so my bread was only partially baked. Normally, I would knead everything in the bread machine before baking it. I don't like to heat up my kitchen except in the summer. So I knew I'd have to get a new bread machine. br>br>I went with the Rovsun because of the price, even though I had never heard of the company before. As a result, I didn't have high expectations. br>br>My first bread was a kulich, which is a densely packed with dried fruit bread. This bread machine not only produced it, but it did so flawlessly. It's the most beautiful loaf of bread I've ever seen made by a bread machine. And, despite my fears that the smaller bread pan wouldn't be able to produce a two-pound loaf, it did. br>br>It has a nut/raisin/whatever dispenser on top if you want the machine to do it for you. I haven't tried it yet, but when it's time to add something to the dough, it sounds an alarm with a loud beep. Having said that, in comparison to my other bread machines, this one is QUIET. From the other room, I could barely hear it. (With the exception of the beeping of the alert system. ) ) I wouldn't make any of the recipes in their cookbook - They're written in an unusual way - However, as a manual, it is adequate. On the internet or through Amazon (they DO sell cookbooks, right? ), there are plenty of good recipes to choose from. ), so you'll be able to find good bread machine recipes there. br>br>Now, I'm not sure how long this bread machine will last, but it appears to be in good condition. And if it continues to produce bread in the same manner as the first loaf, the manufacturer will have a fan.
First and foremost. It's a breadmaker, in case you weren't aware. You won't be able to make rustic, crusty, and airy breads. However, if you're looking for quick and easy loaves and don't have the time to make better bread, this is a good option. Because the Rovsun is so cheap, I was pleasantly surprised when my first attempt at using it resulted in a tasty loaf. Especially since it was only a half-hour after the box arrived at my doorstep. br>br>After cleaning, read the manual and perform a couple of 10-minute bake cycles to ensure that all manufacturing oils have been burned off. Make sure you have plenty of ventilation because this will stink. br>br>In the manual, there are some recipes for small, medium, and large loaves, and you'll notice right away that the ingredient weights for the small, medium, and large loaves are reversed - There's no need to be concerned. I began with a medium-sized loaf of bread. I looked up other bread maker bread recipes online and discovered that the basic bread recipe matched the recommendations I found fairly well. I wasn't used to using so much yeast because I'm used to making hand-made bread, so I measured a little lighter on purpose. After only 3 hours, my resultant loaf was still tasty but a little dense. I'll use the entire amount of yeast recommended next time. I still need to put the delay function to the test so that when I wake up, there will be fresh bread waiting for me. Except for the load noise and beeping when it opens the add-ins dispenser at the end of the cycle, I don't see any problems. br>br>After using it a few more times, I'll try to add some updates, but my initial impressions are very positive.
The instructions/recipes that have been translated are completely useless. The terminology and grammar are foreign to you. br> In the United States, we do not use metric, which is how the manual is written. I used a recipe from an older machine and it worked perfectly.
Everything about this machine appeals to me, particularly the one-size option.
Worst customer service, most likely due to the fact that the company is based in Hong Kong. When the phone rings, it immediately switches to a busy signal.
It's simple to use, and the flavor is fantastic!.
Based on the reviews, I decided to purchase this as a gift. I'm crossing my fingers that everything goes as planned.
