Some types of bread are denser than others. In a smaller pan, a 2 pound loaf with a lot of yeast and dough conditioner may overflow. There is a 2 on this machine. Pan with a capacity of 4 liters (10 cups). Because that's a bit on the small side, whenever I try a new recipe for the first time, I make it as a half-portion. size of the loaf if you don't use more than 300 grams of flour (2. 5cups) should suffice regardless of the recipe, but 500g (4cups) would be pushing it and could result in overflowing in some cases. My standard beer bread recipe calls for 420 grams of flour, but there's still a few centimeters of air on top. Interestingly, the weight-bearing capacity From the standpoint of mixing, the based system makes sense because larger loaves require more kneading to properly tangle the gluten. If you put a 3 pound loaf in a 2 pound machine, it may not overflow, but it will be far too dense to be tasty, as the gluten matrix will not be strong enough to trap the CO2 produced by the yeast.
Make your own ingredients from scratch. They do, however, make a yeast for bread machines that is instant.

This is more of a public service announcement than a negative review. This is the second time I've used the bread machine. Both uses took place within 24 hours, but not because I ate the entire loaf of bread in that time. I was very eager to try out the machine, so I decided to start with one of the included recipes (DO NOT TRUST THESE RECIPES). When I read the setup instructions, I noticed that they were riddled with errors. The recipes, to my dismay, contain typos as well. I didn't see the error because I was a novice baker, so I just followed the recipe blindly. 5 lb. The recipe called for four times the amount of salt that should have been used, and the result was inedible. After comparing the two sizes, I've discovered that the (larger) 2 lb. Only a smidgeon of the salt listed in the ingredients was present in the bread loaf. The second loaf turned out much better with my estimated salt measurement, and I'm excited to use the machine again. Do yourself a favor and search Pinterest for a tried-and-true recipe.
This bread maker is fantastic. Since it arrived last week, I've used it a few times. Every loaf has turned out perfectly, and I used the knead setting to make spelt pizza dough tonight. Flawless! Anyone would benefit from it, in my opinion. Why overpay for something that isn't worth it?.
I've had a Breadman machine for a long time and have used it to bake hundreds of loaves. It still works fine, but it walked off the counter during the kneading stage a few years ago, causing dents in the machine and on the floor. Fortunately, the machine appears to be in good working order, but I'm concerned that it may be nearing the end of its useful life; I'm not willing to give up the convenience of fresh bread, so I decided to try this Amazon Basics model. br>br>I've only used it a few times so far, but I've already noticed a few things. br>br>It includes everything you'll need, including a cheap plastic measuring cup and spoon that won't last very long. But that's fine; despite the fact that the machine has the same capacity as my previous one- 2lbs- It's smaller and lighter, so it takes up less space on the counter. It has a sufficient number of options to satisfy me. I've only used a few on my old machine, but the instructions were simple to follow and understand. It's also simple to read the display. This machine, unlike my old one, has a removable paddle that tends to get stuck in the baked bread. The machine comes with a small tool for removing it, which is fine, but I'm afraid I'll lose it. It's also an extra step to pull the paddle out. I suppose it makes cleaning easier, but I'm not a big fan. br>br>The directions were simple to follow, and there were a few basic recipes included. I gave it a shot on a few occasions. They came out looking great. I used bread flour (the recipes simply say "flour") instead of all-purpose flour. Rubber feet are on the machine. br>br> I'm hoping that prevents it from going off the cliff like my old one did. It also has a longer cord, which is convenient. br>br>There are two disadvantages. To begin with, the motor makes a lot of noise while kneading. Second, the machine appears to heat unevenly, so some parts of the crust end up a little more browned than others, making it much noisier than my old machine. br>br>We'll see if this machine can withstand the elements as well as my beloved Breadman. For the time being, however, it appears to be a viable option for making homemade bread quickly and easily.
My old one died a long time ago, and I decided to replace it with a smaller one. This is a very light and compact device. Today is the first time I've made a loaf. I used an old recipe from the book that came with the machine, which called for 1 teaspoon of yeast, but there are many other recipes on the internet that you can try. This is something I strongly advise you to do. It's a very simple machine to operate. Medium was the setting I chose. Setting for crust; for oatmeal bread, I'll try light next.
BUT. It made a grating noise for 30 minutes during the dough kneading cycle! I attempted to contact customer service to inquire if such noise was normal, but the robot text message was unable to assist me! I was simply curious as to whether I wanted to replace it. I'm not interested in replacing it if the next machine is just as noisy. br>br>I bought this machine because of its small size and resemblance to my previous bread machine; I will continue to use it, but if this level of noise occurs on a regular basis, I will regret my purchase!.
Foam from packaging gets stuck in the vent holes and is impossible to remove, even with a vacuum. As a result, whenever the machine is turned on, it emits a foul odor.
It's simple to use and doesn't take up a lot of space on the counter. It's very simple to clean the machine. It makes me extremely happy.
This was purchased primarily for the purpose of making keto bread. So far, we've attempted twice to follow the recipe and instructions with no success! No matter how hard we try, we can't seem to make a loaf of bread.
