This tool cut straight, cleans easily, and is quite sturdy. Having just bought this chopper for slicing biltong, I have to say that I am As for the stopper on the blade to control thickness, that is useful if you need it, otherwise you can just remove it. There is a lot of sturdiness to this item. A simple and straightforward user interface. Despite it being made of wood, the quality of the base is excellent. After I sharpen the blade, the knife will be even better. It needs to be sharpened.

The cutter I'm using is awesome. What you need if you want something to cut ginseng or ginger is this. You may look at the price and think it's quite a bit, but once you hold it in your hand and see how easy it is to use, its quality, its speed, its safety, and its well-built construction you will pay it. There is no doubt that it is worth the price. Hard herbs can be difficult to handle if you are not used to cutting them.
