The other cleavers in my collection are too "tip heavy" and unsafe to use because I can't control them, they're holding my hand instead. If you aren't familiar with the Forged n Fire line, what is stopping you from purchasing it yet?.
The pieces I have been able to buy so far have been fantastic, and I am a big fan of the show. It is a product that I believe anyone will love, and I intend to buy as much as I can afford to.
The size and weight of the cutter are perfect. I was surprised at how suddenly it happened. This recipe book is ideal for home cooks. That was a very nice bonus for me that I got mine at a reduced price. All three knives are very sturdy, I own the chefs knife and the paring knife. I'll be able to do everything I need in my kitchen with these three pieces. Since my daughter loved my set, I gave a chef and paring set to her as a Christmas gift.
The meat is well cut and chopped. Always stays on top of things. The handle fades immediately upon washing. If you put it in the dishwasher, it fades completely, making it appear as though it is.
With this new knife, we now have the entire set of forged in fire knives. They are all strong, sharp, and made of high quality materials. It feels great to have full control over each cut thanks to the full tang. It was a good investment to buy these knives.
At this price, I can't think of a better knife for the budget! Although these knives won't last forever, they are certainly worth having in your collection!.
However, the build does not feel high-quality, it cuts very well, but it does not feel sturdy. After just a couple of uses and a few washes with soap and water, you can see there are signs of rust and wear on the actual finish of the blade, which is disappointing, but I guess it's better than spending $300 on a chefs knife.
We bought the scissors to cut the Solid and sharp. It's not flimsy or overly heavy, but it's not too light The tip cover is included. It would be nice if it had two covers for the tips.
