Questions & Answers

How does the product compare to the USA version?

It has been making knives in the United States since 1818 in the same building, high quality

Can you tell me what the blade dimensions (height) are?

According to the blade, with the hole at upper left, there is a 7 at the top. In terms of length, the handle of the blade is 5 inches long and the business side 4 to 5 minutes. A height of 5 inches. It is 6 inches long. The length is 5 inches and the width is A height of 5 inches. There is a thickness of about 1/4 inch on the blade. For home grill masters and the real grill masters, here is the perfect heavy cleaver. This is an extremely heavy-duty model. There is nothing you need to worry about.

Would this be strong enough to hit with a hammer the spine of the blade to grind small quantities of frozen deer (without the bone) into hamburger?

The blade of the axe had a very small chip and bad rolling along the edge after cutting through the shoulder and forearm of a deer. I was not happy because it only took 5 or 10 chops to cause that much damage

Does it cut easily through galangal, which has an extremely fibrous texture and is hard to cut with a chef's knife. I need something that will go through wood easily! ?

There are no words that can describe how heavy this cleaver is for cutting Galanga is best cut with a sharp chef's knife, but it is important that your knife It would be difficult to slice thinly with a cleaver, even if it could handle the job.

This knife is amazing! This cleaver is incredible! Please go to In addition to making dog food for my two standard poodles, I am also a veterinarian
5/5

The amount of bones they need in their diet is fairly high. My dogs need "recreational bones" to properly clean their teeth and balance out their calcium needs. I grind some into their food, but they need it as well. *br > In the past, I used an oriental cleaver that was light weight, but was not up to the job. It was necessary to chop the thin part of the turkey necks from the fat portion. I also needed to separate an animal's ribs from its spine, not just for poultry, but also for larger bones like pork and beef necks Even a saw isn't likely to cut all that weight through the heavier bones in the legs that support all that weight. *br > It is important for me to have a heavy duty cleaver to complete the jobs I need. With a height of 5 feet 10 inches and fairly normal hands for my size, I weigh more than two pounds. This knife is really heavy. It is very heavy for a knife to weigh 5 pounds. I felt that the grip was a bit TOO large for my hand, but only just. I used a sander to trim the outer edges of the wooden handles to make it easier to control the knife with one hand. Those are the ones who did the trick. Now that I have become CONFIDENT of my ability to control the knife as it descends into the boney joints, I am certain I will not lose it. *br > According to the picture, the blade is about 1/4 inch thick at the top and carries that thickness all the way up the handle until it meets the handle. However, it is not meant for cutting computer paper, and so it arrived sharp enough to take that task on. When I encounter choppable bones, it does a fantastic job of separating joints with ease, as well as slicing and slicing them. Additionally, it cuts away the meat from the bones for gross cuts, then a boning knife does the rest. As a result of the limited use I have given this, I should be able to expect this to last for several generations, provided that the blade does not incur damage. In order to hang this, you can cut a hole in the blade, or you can make a cover of heavy-duty material Jeans that are overly torn may serve as duty cloth. The two items are part of a duct tape kit. It could then be sewn together if you have a sewing machine. If a second layer was added to both sides, a second layer could be added to each side. If you want to use duct tape on the canvas you can, or you can use a quick and dirty tool like I do. You may need to replace parts as necessary. *br > As I mentioned, weight is important. My understanding is that I will not be able to operate this for a full day, or likely even for at least an hour As a professional butcher, I am not interested, nor do I aspire to be one. For those over the age of 65, however There is a solution to wasting muscles such as mine. In order to achieve an accurate separation, I follow a video I saw One of them was bought by me The rod I have is just above the limit of 2 inches thick, so it is just on the edge of too large. Other people with smaller hands can use a rod that is one and three-quarter or one and half inches thick. The rod is used like a baton (not the musical kind, but the bushcraft kind). A small stick or a log can be split into smaller pieces with the help of this tool). So, the blade of the knife is positioned where you want to make the cut, and it touches the bone or meat you are cutting. In the following steps, the rod is raised up high and slammed down in order to strike the blade, forcing it to strike the bone, likely putting it through it. Despite its strength, the rod is light enough that it will not harm the blade, while being heavy and strong enough to complete the task. However, the rod does receive dents this way, although they do not affect the intended use and do not actually touch meat or bones. Sanitizing nylon rods can be done in a number of ways, except for perhaps steam autoclaves, which would likely cause the rods to melt and deform. *br > The butcher's cleaver for home use is a good option for those seeking a real butcher's cleaver. In training, student butchers in my opinion would be taught the right tools by their mentors. I don't know if this is appropriate for professionals, but I imagine that those learning the trade might be aware of it. The money needed to purchase this knife may be a concern for some. Be sure you are getting what you want, as.

I really like the feel of it, it's A cleaver like this is nice, heavy, and effective on the one hand
5/5

It's also hugely unsettling because I'm not sure what to do with it This knife comes with the word "Dexter" written on it (like the TV serial killer). Then this is the knife for you if you want to cut through food efficiently while looking a little creepy at the same time.

Cleaver that is incredibly strong and solid! The best, sharpest, most solid work you can get
5/5

There is a weight of 1 for the cleaver itself. There are 22 kilograms. It only weighs 0 ounces when I use my regular kitchen meat knives. A 52 kg person. Approximately 8" is the length of the blade bottom. 7" is the length of the blade at its top. A lot of the chopping of bones can be done by the weight itself without adding much The bone will be crushed with one chop, and bounce of the board when using enough force from hand.
Be careful not to use too much force since that will damage the chopping board, as it did to my wooden board. And be careful not to drop it on your shoes. In our opinion, it is worth the price, since it gets the job done.

It goes without saying that this is one of the best! This is a great daily utility item
5/5

Thought I was 2 when I bought this. A 5 pound bag. It's no problem" wow, I'm going to gain some muscle with that. I guess I will have to start working out my left arm. In any case, it has not hurt my bones so far. Having watched too many Oriental cooking videos for far too long and having longed for something similar to what they use, I finally bit the bullet and purchased something similar. I think this is a tit. With it, everything is sliced and diced like butter in just a few Several of its features have been used by me. Well, it has everything from meat to fruit and veg and it is awesome. It's solid as a rock, but it came as sharp as could be. My understanding is I won't need another one for the near future so I'd probably get another if I were to want one. All of this is being said as a reader who ranks between 1 and 2. Although there weren't too many and all expressed the same concerns/issues, it's a great product to use for daily work around the house. I haven't used it to chop bones, but for normal use it's great!.

I find this cleaver to be a beast
5/5

It is much heavier than my chefs knife and the construction seems well done. Overall, the cleaver weighs nearly 3 pounds, more than 4 times the weight of my expensive chefs knife. The following is a list of the best chopping machines available in the market. Chopping things like bone, melons, or large crustaceans with this conventional meat cleaver is fun and easy. This isn't perfect for anything like thin slicing kohlrabi, dicing an onion, or anything else you need to thin slice. You may be able to do that, but it would be tiresome. There were a few small nicks on the blade of the razor, but it was very sharp. However, it was not sharp enough to shave arm hair (which it doesn't have to be). Unlike thin Asian knives that are meant to be used for chefs, the blades of the American cleavers are thick and have a nice curved shape. You won't believe me when I say this tool will come in handy when I do something like cut dungeness crabs in half or split a chicken bone in a chicken breast. Recently, I used this tool to chop some rock crabs in half, and it worked great. Using the same technique, I cut off the fins from about 30 albacore tuna collars to test the quality of the fins. There are spines in these fins which are very tough and cannot be cut through with a knife. Though sometimes it took two swings, this cleaver was able to get the job done. A lighter cleaver, on the other hand, would have struggled.

The best thing about cleavers is the variety
5/5

For the first time I'm chopping meat with a meat cleaver, so I have no previous experience to draw on. The thing I'm talking about is that I just broke down 30lbs of turkey necks in less than 10 minutes, and I love it. When swinging the knife through bone, it does a great job preventing the knife from rolling or twisting in your hand because of the squared edges. In addition to being long enough to give additional leverage, it is also long enough to keep your hand steady. As long as the blade is kept well edged, it will retain its sharpness. This is an excellent knife. It is made in the U. S. A. And you, too. The price is half that of the other brand- A brand.
