Questions & Answers

Is it able to withstand a pinch?

What is the purpose of this product's pinch test, and what does it prove?

Did you get the Sensible Needs brand, which has a logo on the cover and is made of sturdier material, when you purchased this single pack? Pack was not one of them. ?

Yes, I purchased two (separately) with the logo on both. Because both of my molds are identical, I can't comment on the material's durability other than to say that it appears to be sufficient.

Is it the solid, sensible need for mold or a flimsy substitute that really carries the day?

It's a lot more durable than most silicone molds. However, you must still use a sling once it has been heated in the IP and/or when lifting it into the IP with eggs or other items. To put it another way, if you try to fold it, it will simply spring back.

Is silicone also used on the lids?

That isn't the case. The egg bites, on the other hand, aren't pressure cooked with the lid on.

A different product was used instead of the original
3/5

When I ordered the to pack so I could stack the molds, I noticed they were very flimsy, not marked with the brand name, and about half the size of the original product I received from sensible portions.

The Egg Bites from Starbucks have found their match
5/5

I rarely write reviews (though I'm not sure why, given how strongly I feel about the Amazon items we buy). To cut a long story short, I adore Starbucks' egg bites, but I despise their price. I tried making them in the oven at home, but they turned out to be dry and boring. I recently purchased an Instant Pot and was about to purchase a Sous Vide setup solely for the purpose of making egg bites when I came across this contraption. I made a purchase. For the Starbucks copy cats egg bites, I followed the recipe exactly as it was written in the recipe book, and OHHHH, MMMMM, GEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE They're not real. So good, so flavorful, and, in my opinion, even better than Starbucks' offerings. They are something I could eat all day if I wanted to. And it's because of this sub-section that I'm able to do so I put the money toward a $100 sous vide setup after making a $10 purchase. It is impossible to overstate how highly I recommend it.

One of the most useful Instant Pot accessories
5/5

After trying the sous vide eggs at Starbucks, I couldn't stop myself from looking up how to make them at home on Pinterest. That's when I came across a recipe for making them with a silicone mold in my Instant Pot. I tried the mason jar method first (because I had a lot of glass yogurt jars), but getting the eggs out was difficult and they stuck to the glass. I chose to order the silicone mold in the hopes of a better result. The eggs popped out perfectly and resembled the sous vide eggs in appearance. We now make them every weekend because they taste so good and are so simple to make!.

I purchased these to use in a 6-pack of wine glasses
5/5

They do fit without touching the sides of a quart Cuisinart electric pressure cooker. Because the silicone is thick, it won't flex on you while you're moving around the trays. The lids are designed for freezing baby food, but I don't do that, so I just keep them dust-free in storage. I didn't need to use pan spray when using the pressure cooker, but I'm sure you would if you were using it in the oven. They came with three recipes, but there are plenty of other egg bite mold recipes online. One thing I learned is to only fill them 3/4 full because it's easier to spill and the egg expands during the pressure cooking process. If you stack them, at least the bottom one should be covered with foil to prevent the bottom eggs from rising up into the bottom of the top mold. They'll still be edible, but they won't be as attractive.

It was extremely difficult for me to communicate that I had received the incorrect product:- This is not what I was expecting to see when I placed my order
3/5

Two egg bite molds of varying sizes were supposed to be used. On two occasions, I did not receive what I had expected.

I used this to make egg bites instead of egg cups
3/5

It didn't work out too well. Despite the fact that I used a small amount of oil, the eggs continue to stick to the silicone-coated baking sheet. The oil rose to the top of the container and spilled over the rim. The eggs were difficult to remove from the mold; to coax the food out, you had to squeeze the mold's center on the bottom. Each cup is connected by a "web" of silicone, so you can't push up in the middle. The material also has a different feel to it than other silicone products I've used in the past. It appears to be porous, despite the fact that it most likely isn't. In general, I'm not pleased.

Excellent product! The silicone egg bites mold was delivered to me
5/5

My husband immediately put them in our Instant Pot to see how they turned out. The egg bites were light and fluffy when they came out of the oven. They were very easy to remove from the molds. It was very simple to clean up.

It's long-lasting and simple to clean
5/5

This product has a long life expectancy. It's not going to fall apart or break any time soon, so I'm not worried about that. The molds are simple to clean and store, as they fit neatly into a drawer in my kitchen. I gave it a 4 for ease of use because they are difficult to remove from the instant pot. I've dumped it a few times, but there's an accessory with handles that allows you to lift it out easily. br>br>I'm glad I bought it in the end. We make breakfast for our two-year-old almost every day with it.
