Questions & Answers

Are these molds 100% silicon only or do they include plastic as well?

They say they are 100% silicon but they do not pass the pinch test, so I’m’m’m not’m really sure.

Is it possible to steam this directly in a pan with shallow water, or do you need to use a steaming rack?

I filled the bottom of the cooker halfway with water and placed the egg bite mold directly on top. There is no need for a steaming rack. It functions admirably.

Is it possible to make egg bites by submerging these in a sous vide water bath?

Only if the lid is securely fastened; otherwise, water will seep in. To maintain even cooking, true sous vide calls for the food to be submerged in water rather than floating on top.

Is it true that the two-pack contains one of each lid or two of each?

One of each lid is included in the two pack. Cover one of the molds with tinfoil if you want to cook with both at the same time.

I use these to make copycat Starbucks egg bites, and they're perfect for it

Nom nom. Here's how to make it:br>INGREDIENTSbr>* 4 slices diced baconbr>* 6 large eggsbr>* 1- 1/3 cups cottage cheese
* 1- 4% milkfat cottage cheese
1/4 cup shredded Gruyère (or a combination of Gruyère and Cheddar or Monterey Jack)br>* 1/4 teaspoon saltbr>* 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepperbr>INSTRUCTIONSbr>* Boil a kettle of water. One oven rack should be in the middle and the other should be at the bottom. Preheat oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit (180 degrees Celsius). br>* Cut a 9x13-inch piece of paper in half and place it on top of the 9x13-inch piece of paper Fill a 12-inch metal or ceramic baking dish halfway with boiling water from the kettle and place it on the lower rack. This will produce steam in the oven, which will aid in the gentle cooking of the egg bites and the development of a custardy texture. br>* Lightly spray a nonstick muffin pan. br>* In a small nonstick skillet, melt the butter over medium-high heat. Cook the bacon until crisp, 5 to 6 minutes, over high heat, stirring frequently. Place the bacon on a paper towel-lined plate using a slotted spoon. Drain on a lined plate. br>* Place the eggs, cottage cheese, Gruyère, salt, pepper, and hot sauce in a blender and blend until smooth. Blend for 30 to 45 seconds, or until completely smooth. br>* Evenly pour the egg mixture into this incredible mold, filling each well about three-quarters full. quarters of the way full Over the egg bites, distribute the bacon evenly. So that the bacon doesn't just float on top, press some of it into the batter. br>* Place a metal rack in the bottom of the instant pot and cover the egg bite mold tightly with lids or foil. br>* Pour 1 quart of water into a measuring cup. Fill the pressure cooker with 5 cups of cold water in the inner pot. Stack the molds on the rack and place the egg bites on top of them. br>* Cover the inner pot with the lid and make sure the vent knob is closed. Set the pressure cooker to high for 9 minutes. To do so, select manual or pressure cook and use the /- button. To read "9," press the buttons to the right. "br>* After the cook time has passed, allow for a 10-minute natural pressure release. br>* Take the egg bite mold out of the inner pot and set it aside to cool for 2 minutes. Before inverting the mold onto a plate, let it sit for 5 minutes.

What a fantastic purchase! These are what I use to make my sous-vide
5/5

In my Instant Pot, I made sous vide eggs. There isn't a trace of silicone in the mouth. Because eggs tend to stick to the mold, I spray it with butter to make cleanup a breeze! Furthermore, when you're done, the eggs simply slide out. br>The plastic covers are also very useful. While the eggs are cooking, I place it on top of the mold/eggs to keep the water out. br>I use about 4 eggs (large to jumbo size) for each mold, along with cottage cheese, bacon, spinach, and whatever else I have on hand. br>It comes highly recommended!.

There are no instructions provided
3/5

I purchased this and another item on the same day, and it was simply thrown into the box with no packaging, instructions, or anything. It appears to be what it appears to be in the picture, but I'm not sure how to use it.

It's simple to operate and maintain
5/5

It's a nice touch to have in the kitchen. I usually take a long time to muster the motivation to use newly acquired items, but I was eager to give this a try and made green chile cheese egg bites within an hour of arriving. Preparing and baking a pan in the oven takes about an hour, but these were ready in just 25 minutes and were delicious. Even though I forgot to use cooking spray, they came out perfectly. It didn't come in a box, which I thought was odd at the time, but now that I think about it, I wish most things didn't come in boxes. Although I would have preferred instructions or recipes, I was able to locate several tiktoks with helpful hints.

These can be used in four different ways in the kitchen
5/5

These silicon trays with lids can be used in my Sous Vide (under vacuum) container, as well as my electric steamer, pressure cooker, and small portable oven. I also dehydrate spices, sauces, meats, vegetables, and fruits, all of which I use in Sous Vide cooking. I've used the small canning jars in my Sous Vide for desserts and Starbucks Egg Bites, as well as desserts like peach cobblers, cakes, and cherry pies, among other things, and I plan to use them for all kinds of muffins. I appreciate the fact that these are thicker than many others. Thank you very much, and I will pass this information on to my other friends. Thank you very much! container br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br> I've already used the canning jars to make Starbucks egg bites, so I'm good to go. It also makes packing these, as well as my cooking supplies, in my RV a lot easier.

Great value at a great price! These molds are well-made; they're sturdy but still flexible enough to pop the contents out with a squeeze
5/5

I ordered the single molds, which come with a plastic storage lid and a silicone cooking lid. They are easy to clean and the perfect size. I was able to avoid using aluminum foil by using the silicone lid. We made Eggbites, and I was able to fit two in my Mealthy brand MultiPot 8-quart slow cooker at a time. qt. , and they turned out fantastically! We also cracked an egg into each compartment and covered it with the silicone lid; they were done so quickly and tasted so good that I won't bother peeling eggs again. I bought two (2) more individual molds so that I could fill them while the others cooked. We used parchment paper to line a baking sheet, then popped the eggbites onto it and froze them quickly. After that, I placed them in a container for individual servings (4-servings). for each individual) To re-energize them, I steamed them. They came out creamy and moist after being heated for 10 minutes in the oven, which I found to be a little drying. You will not be dissatisfied with your purchase. Enjoy!.

This is an amazing product that I used today with my Ninja Foodie and it fit and worked perfectly
5/5

My egg bites came out perfectly without the use of any cooking spray. Nothing stuck to them, and they were also very easy to clean. Another advantage is that my food does not have a silicone flavor. By eliminating my Starbucks egg bite habit, this will pay for itself in about a week.

I've had this set of Egg Bite Molds for about 6 weeks and they're almost perfect
4/5

I discovered two problems: one of the Bite Mold covers does not seal properly. The other is flawlessly sealed. Poaching eggs has been a problem for me as well. The egg whites have minor issues coming out of the mold undamaged if I do not spray or coat the insides of the molds. Whether I use a pure oil spray or a can of spray, the cooking time in the Instant Pot is 1. 5 to 1. Longer by 75 times. I'm not sure why this happens, but I'm still trying to figure out when to poach the eggs so that the whites are firm and the yolks are runny. It should take about 4 minutes to cook under pressure, but it takes about 6. 5 to 6. Those two flaws, however, do not stop me from adoring and using these molds on a regular basis. Egg bites are something I haven't tried yet. That is what I intend to do next.
