Questions & Answers
Yes, the silicone lids are made of food-safe silicone that can withstand temperatures up to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
No, it's not the case. I must first place the eggs in a ziplock bag and use the underwater method to remove the air.
With the lid on, I was able to fit everything in my 6qt.
Each compartment holds one egg, for a total of seven eggs in the tray. These are for egg "bites" and will hold one serving of whatever you want to put in them. I bought them so that I could make my own egg bites for a breakfast snack at work. You can either cook them in an instant pot or in a steamer. Creating a batch takes only a few minutes. You can make 14 at a time if you double stack them in an instapot.

I purchased this primarily to make Sous Vide Egg Bites, as my children frequently request new egg-based recipes, and I had seen recipes that required such molds that I wanted to try in my Instant Pot. Also, I recently purchased an IP cheesecake pan, and the trivet that comes with this set has handles that will make removal from the IP much easier. This was an excellent purchase. br>br>Here's the first recipe I tried with this item, and it turned out fantastically (recipe courtesy of www dot myforkinglife dot com). )These were a hit with the entire family. I doubled the recipe and made fourteen egg bites all at once (cooking time was slightly longer due to my high altitude - ten minutes, followed by ten minutes of natural pressure release): Ingredients: br>br> 4 large eggsbr>4 pieces cooked and crumbled bacon (or turkey bacon)br>1 1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheesebr>1/2 cup cottage cheesebr>1/4 cup heavy creambr>1 tsp hot saucebr>1/4 cup chopped spinachbr>salt a pinch of salt and pepper to tastebr>br>Instructions: br>In the silicone baby food maker molds, place bacon pieces in the bottom. Set aside. br>In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, cheddar cheese, cottage cheese, heavy cream, hot sauce, and salt. to a blender, add a pinch of salt and a pinch of black pepper Blend until the mixture is completely smooth. Add the chopped spinach and mix well. Pour the egg mixture over the bacon in the molds. Foil paper should be used to cover the mold. br>Place 1 cup of water in the bottom of the Instant Pot and place the trivet inside, then place the mold on top of the trivet. Cover the Instant Pot and make sure the valve is set to "sealing. " "Steam" should be selected, and the timer should be set to 9 minutes. Allow for a 10-minute natural release once the timer has gone off. Then, with your valve set to "venting," perform a quick release to relieve any remaining pressure. br>Serve right away or store in the fridge for up to 4 days.
I used silicone baking cups instead of regular baking cups. They're perfect for making Starbucks-style egg bites in an instant pot. Why would I spend money on something that only serves to round up my egg bites? Isn't it a waste of money? After a few uses, the silicone cups began to lose their shape, and I found myself fighting to keep the egg batter in them from spilling all over my instant pot and counter. It was also a hassle to tear wax paper to cover the egg bites. I finally gave in and purchased this product, and it has made a significant difference in my life! Very sturdy egg cups with silicone tops that eliminate the need for wax paper or foil on top, and you can cook twice as many because of the double layer. Trying to reach the handles on the trivet that came with the instant pot is a million times worse than using the steamer trivet handles.
We got an InstaPot as a gift for Christmas and have been playing around with it. You can poach a large number of eggs at once by spraying the inside of the cups and setting the InstaPot to Steam for 5 minutes. This dish is ideal for a brunch!.
I'm not willing to take the chance of giving cancer to my family by using a low-cost product that doesn't work as it should. I'm returning something I've never used before, so I'm glad I tested it when I got there. The photo only scratches the surface of how obvious it is. Be wary of the buyer!.
However, they are not very budget-friendly. I wanted to make them myself, but hadn't been able to find the right pan until now! This item was used in my instant pot, and I am completely smitten. In less than 15 minutes, I've made more than a half-dozen egg bites. If you're debating whether or not to buy this item, take this as a sign to do so!.
I wish she'd informed me about them earlier! I bought the two mold set from Pramoo, which came with a rack. They're sturdy, and they come with a silicone storage lid that can be used in the Instant Pot to catch water drips (upside down on top of the molds). After I placed my order, Pramoo also sent me a PDF with recipes for these molds. This is a small family business that works hard to ensure that customers are satisfied with their product, which is of high quality.
br>We use the molds for a lot more than the instant pot; the kids enjoy making their own popsicles, and I don't have to worry about them breaking the container trying to get them out. They are also easy to clean. br>They are a good size for the 6 qt IP; however, I paid close attention to size because some are significantly smaller than expected (perhaps for the 3qt?). )br>As an alternative to hard plastic, the cover is silicone.
The ketogenic/carbohydrate diet is all the rage these days. If that's the case, make sure the molds aren't overflowing. They should only be about two-thirds full. br>br>They easily pop out, and everything is dishwasher safe! When I prepare food, I use these at least once a week. The rack makes it simple to place the filled molds in the instant pot and then remove them once they've finished cooking. br>br>These are a must-have!.
