I was really looking forward to using the warming tray. When it arrived, I took it out of the box and tested the temperature settings, and everything was fine. I used it a week later, and the top shattered after only a few hours. Thankfully, no one was injured.
During Thanksgiving, I used these to keep the food warm. They did an excellent job! After seeing them at my house, three of my guests purchased them as well. It was simple to maintain and looked fantastic. They can get quite hot, so choose your temperature carefully!.
I purchased four of these warmers, and they are very effective. A thermostatically controlled on/off variable temperature control knob is included with this model. The tops are made of high-quality glass that is easy to clean. The size is perfect for a full-size aluminum disposable pan. If you're looking for a high-quality product from a reputable and well-known manufacturer, there's no need to look any further.
This was the difference between us and them! We had a dinner before Christmas Eve (which we call Christmas Adam) with several siblings and their families, with ham as the main course. Some families were late, the ham wasn't at room temperature, and travel times were in the 40-minute range. All of this meant the sides were losing heat quickly, so I had my parents open it before Christmas because Christmas Adam was when we needed it. It was extremely effective! My mother had prepared cheesy potatoes that had been cooking for an hour and was certain that no one would eat them because they would be cold. I'd set it to high, and the potatoes were one of the hottest foods on the plate, and when I went back to check on the dishes later, I realized "high" was too high because I could see oil/butter bubbling in the dishes. I changed the setting to medium and checked later to see if the bubbling had stopped. This year, I resolved to seek out products that addressed common issues that arise during family get-togethers. One reason is that counter space is limited, so I purchased tiered serving trays and serving plates that are narrower but longer, allowing me to fit more food into a smaller space. Another is that we never start on time because we're waiting for the meat to come to room temperature or for a family to arrive, but now I know that the side dishes will be piping hot even if we start 1. After driving for 40 minutes, they were 5 hours late. It worked perfectly! My mother was depressed because she had waited so long to eat her potatoes, but when I told her "no, they're actually really hot," she took a bite and said, "Well, I'll be. ".
I already had a smaller warmer from another brand, but this one is far superior, with two warm settings (low and medium) and a large storage space. I fit an extra large baking sheet with 24 pot pies on it (photo attached, which does not show the warming tray but gives you an idea of how much space it took up and how warm the pies stayed). With a black glass top, it has a sophisticated appearance.
The trays kept eight different appetizers warm for a total of eight hours. For a large appetizer potluck, I bought two warming trays. The trays did their job admirably. Friends were impressed and plan to purchase a tray for future parties after seeing the trays keep 8 different appetizers warm for 3 hours.
It was extremely effective! It kept the food warm without having to worry about it burning. One piece of advice: start on high and gradually lower the temperature until you reach a comfortable temperature. Because the tray was on a table covered in a plastic table cloth, it took a long time for the tray to heat up to the desired temperature. I placed the tray on a tempered glass cutting board while in use for added protection.
It did exactly what I wanted it to do. Concrete is not heat resistant, according to the instructions, and my counters are made of concrete. I was worried, so I put it to the test in my garage, where it worked perfectly. I decided to use it on my new concrete counters, and it worked perfectly after three hours on medium heat. Why would you advise against using it on concrete? Furthermore, there was no marking on the knob for setting the temperature, so I had to make my own mark to ensure it stayed at the desired temperature. It is strongly advised that you place a red mark on the knob. Aside from that, the Chessman warming tray does a good job.
