In the event of a power outage, I've been practicing with it. I've discovered that using a folding camp stove and a 1 quart stainless steel pan with a thick bottom, I can heat canned food like chili, ravioli, or soup in half an hour. Because there are two of us, I purchased two one-quart saucepans and two folding stoves, as well as this fuel, to keep in our pantry for emergencies, and I believe they will suffice.
These fuel cans are simple to open and light (with the exception of a small amount of clear liquid spilling out upon opening). The problem is that the fuel cans failed to heat the water in the chaffing pan, causing the food to cool instead of stay hot for several hours. These fuel cans are not something I would buy again.
I am confident that they will perform admirably. However, they shipped the box inside of another box, with the this side facing out. As a result of them being on their side, when I opened them, I was completely covered in oil. br>However, the fact that they are pop-tops is appealing to me. I just don't care for the shambles.
We used them to show our drivers how much we appreciate them during Driver Appreciation Week 2021 by cooking them a hearty breakfast before they went out on the road for the day.
It took a long time to get these going. Pros- They stayed lit for hours and hours after being turned on, so they're probably best used outside. br>br>Cons- When used as chafing dishes indoors, they emit a very strong odor. We had to open all of the windows in our kitchen and living room because of the strong propane odor. br>br>I will not purchase again because of the strong propane odor.
These were ideal for a game night with my friends. The cans are more durable than the advertised hours. If you're catering, hosting a family gathering, camping, or simply want to keep food warm for an extended period of time, these are a must-have!! I'll be purchasing more of your products in the future.
Weird criteria for awarding stars! These were purchased in case of a gas or power outage. Metal or aluminum pans can still be used to heat canned or frozen foods. In the event of a long-term blackout or an emergency, having an alternative fuel source is a good idea.
These worked great, but they were a pain to get open. When you open them, the fuel is more liquid than gel, and it splashes all over you. I wasn't overjoyed with the situation. It was also difficult to get them lit. I ended up putting a wooden match in each one to ensure it caught. br>br>They lasted a long time and were perfect for our holiday party at work.
