Yes, it is possible. It also does a good job of keeping things warm.
It's incredibly simple to get rid of. I believe it would be fine in the washing machine, but I cannot imagine it becoming so filthy that you would need to do so. I'd just run it under hot water in the sink and rinse it out if necessary.

I ended up returning this because it was flimsy and thin, and fitting a pyrex 9x13 dish in it was difficult.
It fits perfectly in a Pyrex dish for on-the-go cooking. I frequently prepare food for my father and deliver it to him in this manner. It can go directly from the oven to the carrier abs, which keeps it warm until I can get it to him. It's very easy to clean.
My 9" x 13" casserole dish was a perfect fit, and the handles made transporting it a breeze. I'd strongly suggest it!.
I made a Big Mac n' Cheese and sent it with my husband to his holiday party; it stayed hot for the entire 5 hours between when he left and when they ate it. I zipped up the macaroni and cheese straight from the oven.
Colors are very nice. It had plenty of space and could hold a substantial amount of food. My casserole was still hot after a three-hour drive to Thanksgiving dinner.
This is a good fit for Ikea dishes that don't have handles on the sides, but it's a tight fit.
I haven't tried it yet to see how well it keeps food warm. It is, however, attractive and reasonably priced.
